Have you tried using Impulse instead?

I have not. Am I going to have to install it.

Yes, you will have to install it.  You can get it here: http://impulsedriven.com/about.asp

Error 500 is a server side error (I believe).  You may have been downloading at a bad time, while teh server was choking on something.

If you don't want to try Impulse yet, try SDC again.

Okay, here's something I can't find an answer to.  I have GC2 and DA installed on my computer (from a store-bought Gold Edition).  I purchased TA and want to install it.  Impulse says I can't because DA isn't installed.  Reading through the FAQs, I thought that maybe it was because I need to update DA.  But, of course, I can't update it, since Impulse doesn't think it's installed.

What's going on???

doc martin : I suggest starting a new thread for your problem since it seems very different but look at this if there's not the solution to your problem there : https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryid=234&pcid=0&nav=0

allgamelord your thread is old, but in any case I suggest reading around here if it's still not solved : https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=24&nav=0,6,7

Older installation methods don't write (or don't correctly write) the configuration details that Impulse needs in order to recognize the installations. If Impulse is not asking to verify the installation of the prerequisites when you try to install TA, or if the verification isn't working, the simplest solution is to just reinstall GC2/DA via Impulse, if downloading is an option for you.
