Demigod creator. (make your own)

Ya the title pretty much sums it up, I think it would be cool if GPG added a demigod creator where you could make your own and mix and match body parts. I dont think that would happen but still it'd be sweet

Also if you could make your own demigod what would it look like?

If i had the time to design one he would be like a floating Spirit with Angels wings not exactly undead but he would be almost "intangible" so he would be see through but not completely and he would carry a Giant halberd with a chain hanging from the end so he can throw it around.

Would be perhaps difficult to implement. Custom skins I could see being plausible though, wherein you adjust decals / features on the demigods to individualize them. How well that transfers into multiplayer depends on implementation.

Well First I'd start with an S, then I'd draw a more different S Close it up real good at the top, then using using Consumate V's give it Teeth, spinities, and angry Eyebrows. Then add smoke, or fire. Maybe some wings, If he's a wing-a-ling dragon. Maybe add one of those Beefy arms back in there.

now he just needs a name... Any suggestions?

that would be cool, it would kinda be like lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2, and rise of the witch kings create a hero feature

I would like to see a deamon possed heroe how would act as an shapeshifter (depending on what skills used he transformes into different deamons with differnt abilities)

Way too complicated to implement and balance IMO. Maybe make your own skins for the game that you can see but wont effect the gameplay.

Well the op posted two issues:
(i)

(i) is indeed improbable but (ii) is still a question one can answer

This won't happen. Too much work, practically impossible to balance, and mixing demigod parts would just look plain stupid.

waste of time..

Now, being able to model a new demigod, skin it, and write code for it, and anyone who connects to the game you host auto-downloads it(of course it'd be listed as a "custom server") would be awesome.

I'm speaking of modding.

Demigod is not Spore.

Was going to say the same thing. All I want is an exporter for 3DS max and I'll be happy.

THIS IS DEMIGOD!!!!

sorry you asked for it. Anyways my first idea was jsut to get you guys talking about custom skins and such and how you would like to see it set up. I think if they added the tools to mod your own map then why not have something to skin your own demigod? i think it could be done fairly easily if they wanted to

There is nothing easy about a 2048x2048 texture on a 30000 polygon model.

Eh?.. I don't think they're that high poly.
THe normal maps are probably 1-5mil polies, sure, but that's sculpting with mudbox or zBrush.

And I find it easier to do 2048^2's than 512^2's.

I hope "build you own Demigod" doesn't happen because bfme2 had it and it was terrible. Nobody used it online because of the crazy heros you could make. They became practically unbeatable after a few levels.

They won't have it in the game, this post was created as a joke, or at least thats what it has become, As you may have guess from me posting instructions on how to draw Trogdor the Burninator!
