If you read up on it, it was part of a union negotiation.  The majority of the workers at that specific plant are Somolian refugees, and that is what the union representing them asked for, and received.It doesn't apply to any other plant.

How soon will it be before another plant somewhere else uses this example to do the same thing, give an inch, take a mile. watch and see.Um, pretty much every company forces you to take off Christmas, how is that not favoring one specific religion? The bottom line here is that this is one union at ONE plant. The members of that union at that plant are almost all Muslim so it makes sense that they would want to take their religious holiday off instead of Labor Day. Also if you read up on the situation it turns out that the plant is open and has the employees working on most Holidays anyway, Labor Day being one of the holidays that most people worked. So what's the problem here? There isn't one, it's a non-issue.
