Map Editor?

The few maps we have seen look very detailed and super custom/unique , will there be a map editor released? Or is it beyond our meager level of understanding as mere gamers to create such maps?

I'd love to see a map of water and lava  :SURPRISED:

Depends if they want to hand over the tools they used to make the maps and such. I think it would be a good idea since lots of people would spend tons of hours making maps that would impress even the devs....maybe later on they can hand pick a select few and add them in an official map pack later on.

Isn´t a lava map shown in the trailer? Maybe I´m still dreaming :D

A map editor would be great, maybe such a powerful one as WC3 has.

indeed there is such a map in the trailer, but I want both water and lava at the same time...

or perhaps a river of deadly cream corn in which units could fall and die in :D

'Deadly' is implied with 'cream corn'.

Immortalizing for eets.

A map editor would be a huge advantage for Demigod! Nothing is better as getting weekly new custom maps to play :D
and not waiting for a new Patch with a MapPack in it ^^

That would be awesome.. one side lava, the other side river, and where they come together there is steam.

Most likely the 'map editor' would probably be something to bring together stuff and do final game play stuff with. As if you look at the environment art dev thread, they make the map in one piece and then game play stuff is added on. (or at least that what I got out of it.)

So if there is a map editor it's most likely going to be mostly a converter to the official map format, with a little game play tuning options.

I also agree if they did release a map editor it would make the community more strong.
