Feature request for Stardock's Fantasy TBS.

Yeah, I know I'm jumping the gun early, but this would have to be implemented early.  No idea what the best way to make sure the honchos here see this, but I think this would be fun, and might help with profits (Which is what it's all about in the end)

My idea: customizable uniforms for your units.

I got this idea while playing SCIV, and thinking of Stardock's ship designer, and then thinking of a friend's artwork.

Why not allow people to dress up their elves?  (Or the equivalent in this game)  It doesn't have to be a bunch of breasts- and might be better if it's not, but why not allow people to design their uniforms from a wide variety of outfits?  Everything from hakamas to suits of armor.  Programming wise- I think the art would be difficult, but it should be a little simpler then your ship designer.  One last suggestion, I'd suggest allowing users to submit art/modeling for outfits, and then throw that into patches (maybe make that seperate from gameplay patches)  Would be a fun form of modding.

I don't know how feasible this would be given how you'll design your gameplay, but I can see this adding a lot of visual appeal, and would likely get you noticed more and draw in some people who wouldn't buy it otherwise.

The one thing I ask if that this doesn't impact gameplay in any shape or form, just for visuals/cheesecake/beefcake appeal.

Soul Calibur IV

No: this wouldn't be ship design exactly. WOuldn't have a gameplay effect, but a person would have control over what their armies looked like.

Maybe similar to choosing the paint scheme for your uniforms at least?

A campaign mode that plays out differently depending on your actions. For instance, let's say in one mission, you lead a team of soliders to attack an orc (or thier equilavent in this game) base, and nearby is village, also inhabited by orcs. If you take out the village first, you could end up fending off revenge attacks on a human village in the next mission. If you take down the base first, the survivors may evacuate along with the village, and you and your soldiers must chase them down for the next few missions. Finally, if you spare the village, you might get some orc soldiers in the next missions, since the civilians would recognise who's boss.

That would add some gameplay variety, and encourage experimentaion when in the campaign mode.

Choose the paint scheme and the uniform from a collection of parts.

I would like persistent heroes. For example like disciples 2 where you can export you characters and use them in skirmishes. Fun to have your friend bring his best hero and you bring yours with all the cool items and battle it out against each other or in a comp stomp. I know warlords battlecry gave you tons of freedom. If I remember correctly you could take you character from the campaign, play a skirmish and put him back in to the campaign with new items and probably leveled up. Just a thought.

Good idea for SP, bad idea for MP. Already announced that the game will have MP. HOwever, some features will be SP only. (Inferred from Announcement)
