actually, an actual chess game using the demigods/creeps would be very cool as a side game/easter egg. Remember Battle Chess from long ago? (chess with kill animations).

nah, done it in maya at university (I study sociology but still have access to maya there). I know it doesnt look overwhelming but I liked the Idea.

This seems to be really very interesting idea, but I am not sure how good Demigod will support modifications like this. Good luck with this idea. When you need some beta testing with this mod I will try to help as good as I can to make it as bugfree as possible.

coolio, didn't find it offending just wanted to say that it wasn't made using max - you don't really need a tutorial for chess pieces as they are solids of revolution - I love them , even did in school when we had to calculate the volume of them^^

If I have enough time I might do a more polished draft of it. the Pwns need some sort of weapon, dunno what would fit yet.

Your chess figures seem to be inspired by modern weapons such as tanks, but keep in mind that the environment is in the past.

Demigod is set in a future fantasy universe , and a mod doesn't doesn't necessarily need to resemble the main game, however this has just been a quick draft and if I do more work on it, I will try to give it a steampunky look

Indeed, you are right that a mod doesn't need to resemble the main game. I just wanted to point out that if you will do a mod which is sc-fi for a game like The Settlers/Imperium Romanum they won't go well together.
