Mistake in the logo?

The bottom-left corner of the left D has a right angle corner, while the bottom-left corner of the right D has a slanted corner. Is this intentional?

(Yes, I'm that OCD.)

The right one is beveled because of the underline thingy.

Good call. Shouldn't the left one be beveled too for consistency?

This post is hilarious :D (maybe unintentionally). Is the lack of a bevel on the first D grating on your sense of perfection AZ... :)

This is only the proverbial tip of the proverbial iceberg of perfection for me. If you think you have seen inane beta reports before, wait until you see what I dish out.

Maybe we should start a thread with most insane bug reports :)

The M in "TM" isn't beveled or spiky anywhere :o. Must be fixed!

Hmm, the I is the focal point of the logo. Looking at the eye, it acts a mirror. The line that underlines the logo is split by the eye, but exactly the same on the left and right. The pathing that is created by the letters and the underline is mirrored on both sides, thus the need for the bevel.

You could also just mirror the D so that its backwards. It would still look visually appealing, but also convey more of the mirror split that the I and the underline is working towards.

I can understand the lack of bevel on the first D (or at least the reason for one on the second), but I'm not sure why they chose to center the light source just to the left of the "I" rather than directly behind it.

It's fine exactly the way it is.

With posts like these I'll establish myself as a vehemently anti-change member of the community, allowing me to choose my battles carefully and making my opinion seem much more important when a change is warranted.

Oops, did I say that all out loud?

Nope, not at all.

You typed it :p

TM still needs to be beveled  :P

Oh, and you need better emotes. These are meh, to be honest :/

OK, I played around with the logo in photoshop. It definitely looks better as it is.

That's pretty awesome, I thought my job was in danger there for a second! It'd be fun to show the process of the Demigod logo development from sketches through revision to its final form. There were many, many iterations. We did actually try the D's facing off but it didn't carry as well as we thought initially. In the end, we were very happy with this particular treatment and typography for carrying all of the various elements of the game in one package.

You get +1 karma for attention to detail!

Emotes are unnecessary newfangled technogunk. Plain text should be good enough for anyone.

Emotes help convey emotion. Good emotes can be pretty useful since you can't tell what tone of voice someone else intends. They also break up the white-and-black monotony :D

Or, on alternating posts, the light blue and black monotony :D
