Back from the Bungie.net forums.

I have been on Bungie.net recently and I have to tell you that the Halo 3 foruma and the flood forum has the biggest number of flamers, complainers, and idiots on any internet site. Their are some good people but not that many. Bungie should really take a look at our forums.

Its true. The Bungie forums are filled with a bunch of children who think that fart jokes are hilarious.

I won't dissagree, they are funny, but the amount of flaming that occurs is horrendous. Rather like my spelling, in fact.

I approve of these forums because people may not always agree with your ideas, but you can at least have an intelligent conversation with them.

This and 2K's Bioshock forums are the friendliest, most mature, and most helpful I've seen.

EA's C&C forums were a frikin mess. Heavenly Sword's weren't much better.

AGREED.

The debate over BioWare's EULA on bioshock was pretty fun to watch though

I don't know if anyone here plays or has played D&D, but the announcement of the new 4th Edition and the displacement of Dragon and Dungeon into digital form pretty much tore the well knit community apart. Before long almost every thread on wotc official site turned into an edition war. Sucks.

why are people on Bungie forum debating over Halo 3, the series is over. What is there to debate???
Obviously many of them don't want the series to be over. They're simply releasing their gamer inner rage on each other.

Yea, these forums tend to be much more sophisticated than most forums, including those belonging to Bungie. When I first got Halo 3 I went to the forums to see what people were talking about there. Let's just say I decided to not comment on what other people lest I become involved in a flame war. It's so much nicer when the community of the game aren't all immature. Note:(Not all people on Bungie forums are immature, just the vast majority of them)

yeah i never bother with the forum there is no reason to any ways. The only thing its good for is putting file share stuff on and thats not always worth it. As for the halo series. Microsoft has already confirmed bungie is working on a halo game but bungie was forced to delay its announcement because microsoft didnt want them to steal the thunder from all the other games comming out.

wait..they are not making Halo 4.

Hey, I got something funny to tell you. I decide to be funny and post a thread saying I am going to bed. Later I find out I am black listed for 3 days becuase I spam, it funny since I notice that guys have been posting meat spin links and picture links of a guys balls being cut of. Nice to see Bungie is doing a good job on this.

well, kind of.  they are making Halo Legacy (supposedly, I've only heard this from my brother) and Halo Wars (this is definitely coming out - its a RTS based on the Spirit of Fire, a UNSC warship, yet it is based planetside somehow).

I guess you have not been to the gears of wars or the chromehounds forums.  Those two places are pretty nasty.  Chromehounds has a very small crowd and perhaps the worst.  I liked that game, however, if you lost to some one you got spammed with messages and your reputation took a hit, and if you won it would happen.  If you decided to not play them at all the same would happen.  Plus they would come on the forum and cry about it.

Don't forget the "lag shield" the so called top players would use. Basicly you upload and donwload some large files on your computer while playing the game. Lag up close was pretty bad, but you could still damage them.  However, sniper fire and splash damage over any distance was pointless.  You could pound the guy and have him take no damage.  Then 5 min later watch him just explode for no reason, damage finally caught up.

The game also had so many network problems.  You could play a game of say 6 on 6. Everyone one except the host would see some one drop from the game.  So you figure hey its now a 6 on 5.  Next thing you know you lost because you base just exploded buy the ghost guy.  (yes only the host could still see him did not matter which team the host was on).  Then don't foget the disscountect crap.  People did not want to loose points for loosing a game and they would just disscount from the game so it would not be counted. If the host left the game ended.  Sure some of the no name teams would take advantage of this, but most of the time it was the elite teams that did this.  Yes most of the top guys where infact very good players but any time a lessor person had the upper hand boom here goes the cheating.

Sorry to still your thunder, but the bungie forums were many steps above chromehounds.
