Unable to move from state to state

Hey guys. I just bought the game and played a few turns and then I was unable to move from state to state by right clicking. I could still left click on all the other states to see information and I could still buy upgrades in my current state but right clicking did nothing. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Make sure you have your candidate selected. If an ad/hq/etc is selected, it'll do nothing (since you can't move these objects).

Just press the 'C' key or left Click on your candidates portrait (in the lower left corner) to auto-select your player.
