I thought the father god died.

The official Demigod site now says, "The All Father has vanished, creating an opening in the Pantheon." How does a god get up and vanish? Perhaps he will play a role in the campaign (or the Demigod equivalent there-of)?

Probably leaving to create some alternate dimension/universe/reality.
not too difficult especially if this 'all father' is omnipotent.

maybe he got bored and used his omnipotence to become a mortal, more thrilling if you know you can die and don't have an unlimited time to live :-)

Sounds like a lame attempt at a fancier storyline :/. All-Father? That just plain sounds stupid.

Hogfather would be better indeed

Mothers actually, which is probably why the demi-gods are so unique from each other.

I'm with Gnats3, by saying the All Father vanished, it gives them some room for story rather than saying He died.

Yeah, there is more than one mother.

I like "The God died" more than "The All-Father Vanished" :(

(Not because I care about the plot of this game, just the gameplay, but because I want to make the analogy first...)

Where have I heard this plot before...hmmm...

"The story involves four sibling monarchs in their struggle to dominate the land of Darien : Elsin of Aramon, Kirenna of Veruna, Thirsha of Zhon and Lokken of Taros, following the disappearance of their father, Garacaius."

TA:K

But seriously. As long as te first game one isn't about your ascension to godhood (which you achieve ala God-of-War style) to give you a big achievement then the expansion is about the "father" returning with an army and wanting his throne back...I'll be happy.

You should have put a spoiler alert on this. Now we won't be able to play the Demigod Expansion :SURPRISED:

Now I remember where I've heard All-Father before:

The First Age of the World began when four mighty Gods first appeared upon the face of the World. These ancient Gods, still worshipped to this day, were the All-Father and his three Companions: Thurin the Shaper, Kenaryn the Hunter, and Malog the Warrior.

Shadowbane lore! I like it as a god name.
