I don't think I'll join the beta... but it's nice to know the real update should be here soon :D Do we NEED Impulse to download the update? Or is it just easier to get the update from Impulse? And does anyone have an idea of how long beta will last for this?

hey guys can we get something like sam missle platforms. used them in another game n they kill fighters like crazy..tec needs all the help they can get......oh yeAH I NORMALLY PLAY TEC, SO HALP.[dadburn cap lock thingy]

This hasn't been decided yet, but the current thinking is that this beta will last for 1-2 months.

That was my exact response when I first learned it was required. But over the last few days/weeks I've come to really like it. I run it as a popup bar now and shortcut to programs with it that aren't even sold by Stardock.

Can't promise you'll like it, but it's on my drive still while Steam isn't (anymore).

Is it possible that I can install my copy of Sins on another PC and install the Beta patch on that one? I'd like to get a full comparison from 1.05 and 1.09B if that's alright with you guys?

as long as it's your pc I reckon it's ok. You can't play online on both pcs anyway then.

This is fantastic news. Finally, some hardcode limits will be lifted, and hopefully more of them will be. I can't wait to take advantage of this for 7 DEADLY SINS. Hopefully we will receive full modding support with this as well.

Yeah I do own it, but the problem is it isn't identical to the one that originally started out with Sins. It's like -=way lower=- in specs.

Beta generally involves feedback getting back to the developers...How do we give back this feedback? Do you guys want us to use the regular forums? Emails? IRC?

The update is now live!  I'll be posting an announcement shortly about it. :)

Kilo_Bravo - The updated graphics engine should allow the game to run on even lower spec'd machines than before, so you could be in luck. ;)

Why do you have to release the beta while I have to leach on a neighbours internet connection?
Why didn't you consider how long I'll have to sit in front of my computer, my eyes locked on a download progress when my download speed is 15 kb if I'm lucky?
I bet you didn't consider that.

The pain! 4.8 MB downloaded in 3 minutes! Lucky for me I'm free tomorrow :)
