Luke Goss the real star of HELLBOY 2

Went to see Hellboy 2 today.

If you are unfamiliar with the series I won't go into detail.  You can read about it here.  Check it out.

No, the reason for my THIRD, read it T-H-I-R-D article in one day is simply Luke Goss.

Luke Goss plays Prince Nuada, an elf prince who seeks the destruction of mankind.

He's a kick-ass-take-names kinda elf, and frankly, there is no way a regular ol son of Satan shoulda whipped him.

He plays a better elf, and MOVES better than the elf from THE RING.

But you know what I kept thinking during the whole movie?

THIS IS Drizzt Do'Urden from the R.A. Salvatore books!!

Just give him dark skin...and this is EXACTY how I see Drizzt in my head...exactly.

If you like the Salvatore books, then you should see this movie just for the elf.

I didn't want Hellyboy to win!  Especially since this freak saved him from a wound the Elf gave him....

The graphics were good.  It was worth the money to see it on big screen.

Now I want to see a Forgotten Realms movie...with Luke Goss as Drizzt!

I have a list of must see movies at the moment.  'Hellboy 2' is second on the list, first being 'The Dark Knight'.  I also want to see 'Twilight', which is about to come out here as well.

I always thought Ron Perlman was inspired casting for the Hellboy roll.  Luke Goss looks awesome though.  I can hardly wait to see this movie.

This was the best movie I have seen in quite some time (since No Country for Old men). I really enjoyed it. WHy? Because I liked the character Hellboy. he is a wisecracking happy go lucky guy! And very sarcastic. I like those type of characters. I did not like the Elf, as he was mean, duplicitous and evil - and ugly! Dont these clowns know that elves are the fair people?

SPOILER ALERT - DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT IT RUINED

But you are wrong. In the end, Hellboy did not defeat him. Goodness did. HIs sister committed suicide, which because of the link, killed him as well. So you can rest assured that he is still undefeated.

No not at all...but the face is almost identical...the jaw bone, nose, even the eyes.....

Oh Doc....you were rooting for the SON OF SATAN??

hhahahahahah.

Hellboy is ok, but I think he's kinda boring....the elf had far more texture....he loved his father but killed him to restore his people, he loved his sister (was that a little incest lust there?).

Hellboy just didn't have the depth. Now if he turns evil for a time....now that would be interesting. :d

I think he did. I love his irreverance. And I dont care who his father is. ;)

I was thinking.."Oh how the mighty have fallen when every day folk are rooting for the son of Satan to kick butt on our behalf." I wonder since he is real, and the angel of death is real, where the heck is the other side? Where are the angels and stuff?

His irreverence is, and I hesitate to say it, and maybe its because I'm a girl, but juvenile comes to mind. After the first few spews of it, I was thinking "Teenage boy" and I couldn't help but laugh.

But I still liked it. He was just me least favorite character.

I Liked him better as the prince vampire in Blade Two, the one with the huge weird mouth.

Didn't realize it was the same actor. Haven't seen Blade 2 in years...hmmm, maybe I'll check it out again. Thanks.

I'm still having trouble reconciling the fact that this is the same Luke Goss who was in Bros.  But Modman is right, he also appeared in Blade II.
