Ok. I think my article about Bush wanting war with Iraq since before he was even elected and his handling of the pre-9/11 anti-terrorism actions seemed to have sparked some controversy. So I would like to clear up any confusion right here. So...here are some facts. Before I post these though, I would like to say that Clinton did drop the ball with regaurds to Osama bin Laden, but this is not about Clinton.

I am want to make it clear that this isn't a left-wing/right-wing issue. All I get here on this site is accusatory remarks about all the falsehoods in my articles. Why can't we ignore the fact that everyone thinks these fcats are partisan. Clinton and Bush are in the same boat. They both are or have in Clintons case, getting the same money from the same people. Time now we don't let these kind of people run the show. I'm not saying Obama is any better either. Time for a new canidate that truly represents America. Not the corporations, or the very small percentage of the Rich, or the Saudi Royal families. Just America and Americans.

I'm sick of the bickering on this site. I know that what I say is drasticly different than what the others here are saying but thats ok. I just think that it's time to embrace everyone no matter their views. However we should acknowledge that it is important to question what others say at first but in the end we all share one thing in common on this site here (at least I hope so) and that is we all love America. We all want to see it safe. Safe from the terrorists in the Middle East and the Terrorists in the White House and even on Capitol Hill.

Yes, and did you read the other PDBs leading up to that one? For the last 2 or 3 presidents? You will find that this is common on a lot of them. As the threat was not deemed imminent or credible! SO after the fact it looks damning, taken in context it is routine. It had never been done before, so why do you think ANYONE thought it would be done before it was? The reason they did it was becuase it had never been done before.

Now, post the PDB for July 29, 1998. If you dare.

But you are making it one. You condemn Bush for not being omnipotent. But then you cannot show where any man is. So instead of learning from history, you are using it to advance your left wing agenda, with no constructive goals, just a bashing of Bush. Which is fine if you are honest about it. Are you honest about it?

And no one is stopping you from saying it. But you saying it now precludes our disagreement with you? Is that really mature? We are to go sit in our corners and silently nod agreement when you come here and spout your nonsense? You live a sheltered life.

Holy Crap I just said in the article that Clinton was to blame as well, thats why this shouldn't be a partisan issue. I don't care that Bush happens to be a republican, because in the end he is drasticly hurting this country and it's future. Just as the first Bush and Bill Clinton did.

You tell me I live a sheltered life, well all I'm trying to do is help people realize that we can do something when it comes to helping our troops, helping the average American, and helping others around the world. We don't need the Bush familiy or the Clintons, republicans or democrats what we need is the power given back to the people.

I am not making this a partisan issue. You are right, there is a long line of terrorist threats from Osama bin Laden, so does that make it ok to ignore them? If it was a democrat in office I would expect you, Fox News, and all the Limbaughs of the world to be as outraged as I am.

You my friend, are ignoring these facts. You are actually defending a man who simply ignored terrorist threats (leading to 3,000 innocent Americans to die), never attending 1 meeting with the CIA even though Bush was called to attend, and (keep in mind there is a history of terrorist threats) cutting anti-terrorism from the FBI.

As I have said repeatdly: I am sorry for the "Liberals vs. Conservative" mentality I came here with and now I repeat this is not partisan. Lets make this patriotism and be as one, and not divided.

Defending the man? Or criticizing unreasonable expectations? YOu have damned Bush explicitly with detailed accusations, some of which are true. You mention Clinton in passing. That is hardly non-partisan.

But I will withdraw my comment about a sheltered life. That was snide and uncalled for.

And I would also ask you to read more here on JU where you will find that most here are not sycophantic bots that blindly support any party or man/woman. I have a lot of problems with Bush. I do not mind a valid criticism of him. It you had listed Clinton here (since he only met with his CIA chief twice in 8 years), I probably would have laughed. But that is my bias, which I freely admit, against the man, not the party. And others would have defended him (Moderateman is a big fan of Clinton, although we share many of the same ideologies).

If Al Gore had been president, and this attack made on him, I would be defending him as well. His actions after the fact are fair game since the game plan of Bin Laden was clear by then. But I do get my hackles up when people want us to believe that Bush (or Clinton) conspired to ignore an immenent, overt and transparent plot against us that only a fool would not have seen on 9/10/2001. No man, no organization, no creation of man is that omnipotent. As much as we would like it to be.

My anger toward Clinton is passionate to say the least, so I guess I need to answer why I'm singling out Bush.

I believe that the evidence is there that Bush has dreamed about going to war with Iraq since before the 2000 election. Him, Cheney and all their corporate buddies have benifieted from this war finacially. When faced with a situation like this, ask yourself who is the one gaining from this. Are the American people gaining from this? Do you think that this war has made us safer? With all the innocent families killed from the dropping of bombs I'd say this has bread more terrorists. Do you think that we have helped take down al-Quada? (the ones responsible for 9-11) Well, according to the BBC " The war in Iraq probably helped boost al-Qaeda recruitment, according to a report from leading Western think-tank. Back to Bush, I feel that there is evidence for a motive, and thus far my scenario could potentially be just as plausable as saying....as saying...hell, as saying Iraq had WMDs!

I think that yourself and I could do alot of damage when it comes to exposing our two party system. I encourage you to post the wrongs of Clinton and furthermore Pelosi, Reid, and potentially Obama. (I see you have done most of this already )

Actually, I have posted some positive about Obama. I do not like either candidate, and I would like to vote for Obama (just so we can get it out of our system), but his supporters are making it very difficult. When he is not being handled, he at least is an honest guy. Nothing else in common with him, but right now, I am looking for any reason to vote for either of the 2 major candidates.

As for clinton, I think that one can be finally laid to rest. Let the historians sort him out. Reid and Pelosi? I suspect over the coming 2-4 years, they are going to be the ones I post most (negative) on. I dont usually post rah-rah blogs as there are enough around here that do for all the politicians (Bush, Clinton, Obama and McCain). So unless something really stands out (like Obama's refreshing honesty about Gas Prices), I just jump on their faults (democrats mostly as I do not agree with them most of the time).

If you want to jump on Bush about Medicaid, NCLB or immigration, go right ahead! I will probably post a comment about "yea, that irks me too".

As for the War in Iraq, we will leave that for another day. I find some truth in your side, but mostly spin. For now, we are there, we have to make the most of it, and leave it a stable place, or risk another Ayatollah or worse. Bush may be many things, but a Jimmy carter he is not.
