Black Market question

Hey folks!  I just got SoaSE 5 days ago and am loving it!  I love the scale and the concept behind the game, and look forward to playing it on a new system where the really large games don't start slowing down.

I have a quick question about the black market function.  In the manual, it mentions that we can "manipulate" the market for crystals and metal.  I can't figure out what exactly that means.  Could you folks give some pointers on what black market actions cause what results?  Thanks!

You can sell your own stock and set the price which will impact the market, that's all.

If you sell alot of stock you will push the price down.
If you buy alot then you will push the price up.

Let me explain more.

You can put your own crystal and metal INTO the market for other PLAYERS, to buy at the price you set. And since your merchandise is in the market you can help determine the price a little bit.

Also if you sell a lot of (Crystal/Metal) to the MARKET, the price will go down.
And if you Buy a lot of (Crystal/Metal) FROM the MARKET, the price will go up.

** TIP **
When buying or selling large amounts of Metal/Crystal, Pause the game (Pause Break Button on keyboard) and buy it, the price will raise or drop quickly.

I would like to point out that this is a valid technique for SP only as
1) You only get 10 pauses per MP game
2) You will annoy people by pausing the game on them...

This tip was for single player. A vast majority of players play Single Player.
