The Results of Silence

We can't let these things go without some sort of justice

Things to remember before we let Bush go:

  ·      85,141 – 92,871 innocence dead due to Iraq War

·      4119 American Troops left dead in Iraq

·      The Executive Branch made 935 false claims about Iraq in order to sell the war.

·      Halliburton, the company the current Vice President used to be the CEO of, has made over $10.8 billion from the war; supplying oil, rebuilding materials, and weapons, as well as jobs that used to belong to the troops.

·      1.9–2.2 million Americans will file bankruptcy due to Medical Bills

·       460 innocent people are currently being held at Guantanamo Bay prison and experience torture every day. There have been 41 suicide attempts. Only one person who was ever held at Guantanamo has been charged with a crime. There are still 4 kids under the age of 18 being held there.

As you sit in your comfortable home safe in the United States, just remember the thousands of crying children who can’t understand why their daddies aren’t coming home from Iraq. You need to think about the people in this country who are choosing between clothes for their kids, food, or gas money. Think about the people at Guantanamo who only wish to see their families again. This isn’t just politics, this is reality. I know it’s easy to ignore all of this, but people are dying needlessly right now, and loosing their homes. You have the power to act. Don’t ignore this anymore. Do something.

I sit very comfortably knowing that the histrionics of your statistics do not show the whole story, just your side of it. As I can see this is one of those internet postings, and not an original work, I will not ask you to prove your numbers as I know they are unproveable. I will just ask you to question them.

At least you got the 4119 close enough. Even as the theatrics are all wrong.

I am more than curious as to where you get these lies told to you?
You have not proof that the people held there are innocent of any crime, yet there are reams of information saying they are at least suspect of crimes and most have been found guilty and are being held in accordance with international law. If that one thing you posted is false it makes all the other information suspect.

There is no proof that any torture has been preformed at Gitmo and to date only one person has been subject to aggressive measures, (water boarding) for the entire war on terror. This does not sound to me like rampant torture being conducted by the US let alone at Gitmo.

The one person that was water boarded has stood trial in Gitmo and pled guilty along with three other terrorist that are being tried as you read this. Try a fact search before you repost someone’s hate trash.

How many people, pray tell, are killed worthlessly, how many people, pray tell, have been liberated from dictators?

Good point.
