Remember those conjunction junction cartoons with the episode on how a bill becomes a law? It had that cute little bill runnin all over Washington D.C. Well this is a quick little summary on the reverse.

I fail to see your point here. It was not illegal when he did it and it is now a law that allows the government to do what they did. At no time was a law broken. If there was please point it out. The president gave an executive order authorizing the wiretapping and under presidential review allowed this to happen 30 times. That is totally legal. The people tapped were not citizens of the United States so there was no law against what was done. No one has produced a citizen that was tapped in this way. No one has proven that citizens were the targets of this wiretapping. All we have is speculation that it may have happened to a citizen. Since it was done by executive order only the congress in a majority vote can void the order. The congress has concurred with the executive order by making it the law of the land. That means that 2/3 of government agree that what the president has authorized was correct and legal.
