Error

Hi guys. Sorry my first post has to be a ''please help'' post, and I appologize in advance if I've posted this in the wrong section.

I'm having trouble downloading packages for IconPackager. I can download the Zip's without any problems, yet as soon as I try and download an IP package I get this error message:

Error: Failed to load SDCZip.dll ...... Please reinstall the application to correct this problem.

I've reinstalled the application numerous times yet still keep getting this error. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What happens when you just extract the .zip file to a folder instead of opening it?

Also does this happen to any package you download? Does it seem to do it to some and not others?

Hi Seabass, thanks for replying so quickly, most appreciated.

''What happens when you just extract the .zip file to a folder instead of opening it?''

I can extract the Zip files to a folder and use them without any problems.

''Also does this happen to any package you download? Does it seem to do it to some and not others?''

No, this is the first time I've encountered this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application as directed in the error, but still keep getting the same problem. I've never downloaded an IP package before, so I don't know if this is a continual problem that's gone undetected.

If you have any advice on how I could possibly resolve this error, that would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that this is Icon Packager 4. Try downloading other packages at random and see if you can get the same error. It does not sound like a software problem to me but rather a package issue.

Hi again Seabass.

I think the issue is resolved. I downloaded Stardock Central, and now the packages are downloading without errors. I read around the forum (which I should have done before posting) about other users experiencing the same issues, took advice from it, and now it's working fine.

Thanks again for your speedy response. Hope we speak again.

Well so long as it works I am glad to hear it. I have passed along this listed issue to our developers. Thanks very much for updating me!

Error: Failed to load SDCZip.dll ...... Please reinstall the application to correct this problem.

usually the reintstall over itself of SDC (not IconPackager) resolves SDCZip errors
