DPI awareness?

I have my DPI set to large (120) in Vista SP1 Ultimate x86.

All of the themes I tried appear not to honor my large DPI.  The text is very small.  In those places where MyColors doesn't get it's hands into the text is large at 120dpi.

Is MyColors DPI aware.  Sure seems like it isn't.

i got the feeling since MyColors is based on WB it's aware... it just doesn't like it

WB prefers 96dpi

If that's the case it ought to be changed. With larger and larger widescreen LCD monitors the normal 96dpi has become to small for many of us.

Which theme are you using?

WB has the ability to enlarge fonts based on DPI, but the skin author has control over it.

Which areas in particular are causing you problems?

Best way is to use WB config to enlarge fonts rather than DPI...things dont get wacked as bad that way.

I tried all the free themes that come with MyC as well as Quest.

Font size on the Start Menu is defaulting to the theme font size which I believe is 7. Things like the Control Panel menu is also this size. With a 'normal' Vista theme the fonts are enlarged to 120DPI.

Even if I manually change all the fonts that I can using the classic appearance setttings there are still many places where the fonts can't be specified. This is why using a large DPI is nice as it increases just about everything. Not all, but nearly all.

It's easy to see for yourself. Use the 120dpi setting and compare the normal aero theme with a MyC or WB theme.
