...it's a little strange that they would sell Freespace, considering the game is open source now and you can basically download it legally and for free.
Well... sure, the engine is open, but the content isn't. Yeah, yeah, I know about the EULA, but that was changed (that is, even on the original CD, that EULA wasn't copied to the machine -- the one without the "friends" clause was), unfortunately. *Technically*, those FSOInstallers and whatnot aren't on the up and up. No one cares at this point, but they might start caring if this picks up.
Then again, gametap has been offering it for awhile now and they still haven't caught any crap over it, so maybe not.
