How do you save the various sized icons generated from a picture en masse?

Sorry to have to ask for what I'm sure is a glaringly simple solution but I'm simply not finding it on my own

I think the title heading states the problem I'm finding regarding the sort of batch save aspect, of the batch processing aspect of Icon Developer that for all my saving and all it's batching is not resulting in the various icon sizes-bit types being saved as separate icons and I'm sorry to say, I'm simply not finding what I'm sure must be an easy and obvious solution. That said, I hope someone here might take a moment to lend me a hand on this.

In case the above failed to convey my question, below is the Longer - (longer than I hoped to write, and longer than you'd hoped to read here ) - step-by-step, blow-by-blow detailed version of my present situation.

I'm starting by choosing File ->New ->Icon from Image File ->(Choose the image file) Hit Open, and it opens the image in a setting where it checks certain icon sizes/bit values. Let's say I'm fine with it's options. I hit Open, and it sets them into a column in Icon generator in size/bite sequence. NOW, I'm thinking there has to be a way to, in just one or two clicks, save the whole magilla with the saved icon name to which Icon Developer simply adds the various 256X256, etc. extensions to each in turn and saves them en masse in whatever folder you was in when ya hit da Save key for what I at least thought would be a sort fo batch processing save deal for the whole kit-and-kaboodle of 'em, but when I check it, I find it's just saved the one icon with that one simple label name I gave it and that's it. I also tried bringing the image in through batch processing ->Create Icons Fro Image Files, chose an image to Batch as it were, Clicked on Open and again it marked various sizes and bit types for the given image to which I hit OK, chose a destination folder for what I figured would definitely be a batch given I was now supposedly Batching as the program saw it, hit okay, to which it opened a little box that said generating images - plural - but when I checked the results  I once again found only the single icon - image name.ico - and that's it. I checked the folder but if there weere indeed imageS generated as the program stated it didn't put them in the folder I chose, and there're no Help files either here or online which is really, so, I was going to say stupid but let's say "homey" or "folksy" I guess, since I'm left to ask you folks to give me a hand.
Apologies to the beleaguered reader for a far longer post than I'd like regarding a much smaller problem than I'd like, but would surely appreciate any help you might lend me on this. Thanks, and...

open that one icon in icondeveloper and you should see the list of the sizes inside the .ico once again

when you open the graphic to create the icon, then picked the sizes, all the sizes then showed up on the left within the main developer window

when you do the 'file > save as' icondeveloper then bundles all those sizes into one .ico

Greetings,

Ok not sure if this is right area for my question but here it goes. I have Icon Devlp. 2.0 and I can't seem to make the icon size I want. Ideally I want to make 256x256 icons but can't, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. The only size I get is 96x96, another I have two images that were near to same size (1200x1200) that I created icons from and one is able to be viewed in Extra Large view and the another stays at the Large view. Both are 96X96.

I tried saving by clicking the first image choice at the top left side (256x256 - 32-bit) which is the way I have always done it, that always produces 96x96, I also tried saving "save as" and created the batch.

Side note: when I created the batch it still made a 96X96 but the icon I had problems viewing in X-large through Vista did show up Xlrg but wouldn't when I tried to use it to customize a folder. end note.

So how do I make 256x256 icons?

Why is the one icon not showing in X-large view option?

if the only size you want is 256x256 the after you right click and choose create > pick you sizes (if you pick 'vista' that will be fine since 256x256 is in there) then after you click okay and the other window comes up with the various size formats on the left = either click, shift+click or ctrl+click the highlight the sizes you don't want, then click on remove in the tool bar - click okay when you're asked if you want to remove those formats

then you'll have just the one size on the left = then highlight and click save as
