I have you reset and ready. Please know that a lot of activations at once, or several from different locations will cause the activation limit to be reached. You should be all set!

Please let me know if you have further troubles!

I have been experiencing multiple problems with my computer, an HP Pavilion computer of which I will Never, Ever buy again. I have exceeded my number of "Activations" do to this piece junk HP calls a computer. I have had to use "Recovery", which means I have had to reset this computer back to factory defaults so many times since I got this thing that I have lost count. I need help from someone at Stardock to reset my "Activations" limit. I have the Windowblinds CD and the ObjectDesktop 2008, but they are useless if I can't activate Windowblinds. Windowblinds is my most used application and I love it, please help.

Thank You

Please go through a manual activation process.

An activation string is a long serial number that starts like this: m=1&v=1&a1=D13A622050BB308A....
Here is the guide:

I get the same thing. But once I use the serial, it lets me close the window and windowblinds starts. It just won't use any skins on my Vista machine. deb

Long time OD user here and this is the first time that I have encountered this problem. Lately I have been doing a lot of reinstalling on my new systems, since I had a lot of issues initially with impulse on both of mine Vista 32 and 64 bit systems.

I have never had this sort of problem before, and I have been using OD for years. Did I do something wrong to somehow cause the activation max to be reached?

thanks

@pryncssdeb1212 and @leth

Took care of it for both of you. Activation counts have been reset. You should now be able to activate. Our activation system will flag excessive activations depending on several criteria, and if you get a message saying you've reached a limit, just shoot an e-mail to [email protected]. Seabass rifles through those faster than is comprehensible to make sure you get up and running ASAP.

Let me know if you're all set.

I am getting "Stardock Product Activation could not write the activation signature". What's that all about?? deb Ok, I think I fixed it. I dled it through SDC. So I had to ACTIVATE it there, too, and it worked! All you have to do is right click and activate it in SDC and voila!

Generally that means that the activate.exe was incomplete or corrupted in the download. Sometimes it can also mean you don't have the correct permissions on your computer. Either way there are some of the pitfalls you can watch out for. Glad it is working for you! Please let us know at [email protected] if you have further troubles.

... and once more ...

I just downloaded and archive WB 6.20.086 (SDC), then i click on update and at the end of installation ... "maximum activations reached"  :(

It was told to me that unless sig6.bin keeps in the Windowblinds folder, countdown of activations is not done. It's just IMPOSSIBLE. I think i've just uninstalled it once since the last activation reset ... Though there's really a counting each time activation is needed, that is to say once when downloading for archiving (yep i do it like this since i had a bad problem on autoarchiving when updating  (:( ), then one more when downloading to install, and finally one again when installing: and these three each time there's a new beta or if you have to restore a previous version for any reason ...

I'm really really bored of this system unless i'm an ODNT subscriber and my account is already verifyed (and with impulse it's much more ...)

I've send the "traditionnal asking to reset" to support, but i don't really want to stay days for answer

Here's the ticket number : Ticket ID: PTF-552806

There has been an update to your ticket.

Please know that if you reinstall Windows the sig.bin or sig6.bin will no longer work.

Sorry for the trouble but we more often get to the activation reset emails with in the 24 hour mark (barring the weekend of course).

I didn't re-install Windows and sig6.bin didn't work  :SURPRISED:

Can you send me a current code from a manual activation so I can run it to find out where this problem is occuring? Just send a reply to that ticket reply and let me know here and I will jump right on it.

I installed iconpackager and pack icon Paul boyer.
I have a message reached maximum activations and can use the software. Can you reactivate my account.
