Impulse does not reconize that SR2 retail edition is already installed to install reboot expansion

I bought the retail edtion at the local store long ago.  It is installed on my PC with vista 32 bit.  I bought the expansion and went to download it and impulse says the original version is not on my PC so I cannot install the expansion version.  I do not wish to reinstall SR2 retail version cause I cannot find the case with the cd key on it.  I have the disk and the retail edition runs fine on my pc in version 1.3.  Any suggestions or is impulse downloading pc store just useless?  Thanks

I had the same problem as you as are some others. There is a simular thread hereWWW Link.

I have submitted a ticket and, so far, all I've heard is that they know and are working on it. Hopefully there will be a fix tomorrow or Wednesday.

I think it has something to do with Impulse and installing, however, I too am begining to lose my patience with this.

I've been told that the Impulse build with this feature implemented will be put live today.

After Impulse updates next, go to install Reboot again.  Impulse will prompt you to point it to where you have Space Rangers 2 installed and you should be good from there.

jrnpoppy - You have a separate problem as Space Rangers 2 is required for Reboot.  Reboot is not a standalone expansion and needs to have the base game installed to work. If you've lost your SR2 serial number, you can try contacting Cinemaware support to see if they'll hook you up with a new one.
