Death of the Korx

Impossible?!

I am Really getting frustrated at the dark Avatar Campaign Mission "The death of the Korx" I have tried Everything to win this mission but i cannot do it.

I have tried using constructors to allow my ship to get to the coordinates it says
I have tried teching up in support branch and sending survey ships to the Coordinates
I have tried building ALOT of fighters and suiciding them against the dread lord ships hoping that i can wear them down
I have tried expanding, taking every planet i see
I have tried sneaking around the very edge of the map with constructors
I have tried diplomatic games but the korath will not make peace even with 5+ years worth of research in the deal
I have tried looking on these forums for help before making this post but everything i found is just other people asking for help and not getting any.

I'm just about ready to throw my computer out the window!

Hmmm...

I got through it with the constructor theory on the first time. Guess I got lucky.

What happened? Constructors got destroyed? Ship got caught? IIRC, the trick for me was going NOT going the direct route. IIRC I went on a route that didn't go near stars, and I started going that way early before anyone had a chance to build up. Mostly I think it's about avoiding being detected. The DL doesn't send out a ton of scouts, so if you can avoid populated areas and babysit the heck out of that ship, I think you'll be OK.

Unless I'm thinking of something else entirely. =)

going around the long way, avoiding passing too close too stars, i normally need 3 or more constructors and by the time I've got the 3rd built and on its way to its destination, a DL frigate or fighter has found and destroyed one of the already built starbases.

I have managed to get the large ship to 3,1 but nothing happens I've tried 1,3 as well.

EDIT: Here is a Screen shot of what i have done....

Sorry for Double post but...

I did it! I've done the mission, turns out i was in the wrong place, i wasn't in SECTOR 1,3. Sectors are the larger blue squares on the Mini map, Not the smaller squares on the tactical view :(

Look at the top of that screen shot. It says you're in sector 00-00. You need to be in 01-03.

Try that out and see if you get different results.

*edit*
You found the answer while I was digging it up.

Smaller squares I believe are called 'parsec'. Your movement rate is based on parsecs.
