Minorities vs Religious base?

Hi there,

So far I'm enjoying the game, but as a non-American I have no idea (apart from the obvious states) which states have a lean towards religious groups, and which have a lot of ethnic minorities, so I can't tell where my minority appeal is useful. Is this information displayed within the game somewhere that I am not seeing? I haven't tried the other scenarios yet but I imagine this would be even more important to know for the fantasy setting ones.

The minority and religious appeals give a candidate bonuses but the caliber of bonus and where the bonus is best applied is... Kind of invisible. It does benefit you but it's pretty hard (impossible) to determine exactly how.

The data is actually there, there's just no real easy way to visualize it in-game.

Minority support generally helps in states with many large cities(liberal), and religious support generally helps with southern states(conservative). This is being very general though.
