GCII IMPULSE DOWNLOAD PROBLEMS

I DOWNLOADED GCII TO MY NEW COMPUTER/VISTAS THRU BOTH IMPULSE & STARDOCK. COMPLETED DOWNLOAD FOR BOTH DREADLORDS & DA THRU IMPULSE. DOWNLOAD CONFIRMED. COULDN'T OPEN, FILE SHOWS A FEW HUNDRED KBS. I COULDN'T LOAD MY DISKS EITHER. I WANT TO PURCHASE TWILIGHT BUT CAN'T EVEN INSTALL DREADLORDS ON MY NEW MACHINE. I AM NOT REAL COMPUTER SMART & WOULD APPRECIATE SOME SUGGESTIONS.

Well, first of all, you need to find the key that says CAPS LOCK on it and press that ONCE. If the little light on the keyboard turns off, don't worry, that's normal.

I'm confused. You say you downloaded Dreadlords and DA but can't install? I'm not sure I understand.

IMPULSE SHOWS DOWNLOAD SUCCESSFUL BUT GAME CANNOT LAUNCH. EVEN MY DISC WON'T LAUNCH. WORKED FINE ON MY DELL/XP LAPTOP INSTALLED A YEAR+ AGO. MESSAGE I GET WHEN DISC INSERTED:

I finally got the message on the caps lock. Maybe I have a learning disability.

I un-installed DL & DA, turned off my firewall, re-installed thru impulse....it worked. Also was able to purchase & successfully download Twilight thru Stardock. Thanks for the help.
