You send me a grainy, up-the-nose shot that a good forensic tech would have difficulty indentifying you from, despite my almost pleading with you for photgraphic evidence of your good self....but Chip just has to say the word and it's all good????

He and Hanja are really two of the only folks who actually have photographic evidence of my existence. Myself included. Xtine might have a couple but I doubt it.

I'll have to dig a little. I thought I already scanned and uploaded, but I was wrong. It's not a very good one, as it's a group pic from a dinner at A Taste of Italy, IIRC, but you are in it. I think it is the only one I have of you, but it is better (marginally) than the one dharmagrl has. different hanja definetely has some choice pics... I'm sure he'd post them if he could ever remember to take them down off the wall at the bar and bring them home...

OK, here goes... I found and annotated the GAFB dinner pic. It was indeed at the Taste of Italy, as you can see from the menu. I'm in the front left.

Man I have not seen M. Young's face in a dog's age either! (guy at the head of the table) We were rivals for a tons of time and then became very close friends in Korea. And for the Love of god I now know why that one guy (no names) in our (current) unit always looked so familiar! (the guy on the right) Would be a dead ringer! Chip do you remember his name? (I know he did the Air Force cadence once for Drill Sergeant Range).

 

P.S. I think it is amusing that you probably have emailed my mother more times than i have!

That is James Hultz. He was a bit of a putz. Got a divorce as a result of having an affair with the woman on his right. Young was the one that told his wife! So, James turned around and told Young's wife about his affair! Was a tense week or so in class and then they became friends again...

P.S. I think it is amusing that you probably have emailed my mother more times than i have!


You should do something about that and email your mom. Right now! Go, go, we'll wait until you're done!

Additionally, that picture is what dharma complained about? How is that any better than the one you gave her? Your chin(s) is hidden, you're in the back of the group, and it's still just slightly out of focus. Also, since this is while you were at GAFB, it's from, like, 20 years ago.

Now, the one of you as a kid... my wife will get a good chuckle out of that one.
