Space Rangers Resolution

I'm considering buying the Reboot upgrade for Space Rangers but I am very wary about the resolution limit.

I have the original but I can't seem to find a way to play it in Window mode. This is really a pain considering I bought a beautiful 1920x1200 widescreen LCD in january. The game looks stretched and disgusting with it and the only solution I have at this moment is to use my screen options to create black bars on the side to make it a 1600x1200 and then play the game in 800x600. It would prevent stretching but it's a real pain to do.

Does anyone have any solution or does the upgrade includes a window mode?

There is an option for windowed mode in space rangers 2 reboot.

Personally, I wish Reboot had Widescreen support for 1440x900 (only monitor I could afford in Best Buy is in that native res) but even 1024x768 in full screen looks ok on my PC.
