Mike Huckabee

Where is he?

I drove out to Iowa a week before the Iowa caucus to help Mike Huckabee win. You will remember the Huckabee won in Iowa to begin this election cycle. He finished 2nd to John McCain in delegates and John McCain would not be the nominee if he had not squeeked out a 3 point win over Huckabee in South Carolina. So why is Huckabee not in the game? Only the two nominees and Hillary Clinton were a bigger player than Huckabee. 

While I love the game, it would be so much better if I got to play as Huckabee. You even have a religious rating in TPM and huckabee would bring a unique skill set in. His is a Republican with no foreign policy exp, good minority appeal (50% blacks voted for him as Gov.) and he talks no typical republican issues, like Education.

Is it possible that he could be created and included in an update? I just don't see how you can include Bill Richardson, but not Mike Huckabee.

I can't promise that we'll add him in an update, but you could easily make your own Huckabee character in the character editor.

Yeah I'm surprised they don't have Huckabee, yet they have George Washington as a Republican despite him not having a party affiliation.

Also they have Jefferson as a Democrat, even though the modern day democratic party is more tied to that of Andrew Jackson's democratic party and he's not included in the game.

So to summarize, a list of president's I'd love to see: Andrew Jackson, Mike Huckabee, Franklin Roosevelt, and since we have other founding fathers John Adams as well.

IMHO, any candidate that flaunts his religious background automatically turns me off. I plan on voting for McCain because I basically believe in him, but if he chooses Huckabee or Romney as a running mate, I may move to Canada .....

Mike Huckabee is not in the game?? How the heck is the guy who finished second to McCain not in the game? Personally, I couldn't believe when Howard Dean didn't make the 2004 game and it just seems to me that the 'roster' should at least have the top handful of candidates from each party of the current election represented.

It would be cool if extra candidates were added in an update so that we could still get some of our favorites that didn't make the retail cut. The omissions would then be forgivable.

This is the Huckabee I used in a Republican campaign in the first Political Machine, if anyone wants to use it as a basis for a PM 2008 Huckabee, go for it.
