Different menu item images

I've been trying to customize a skin, and I wanted to change the menu item images. So in SkinStudio I went to: "Edit Controls --> Edit Menus and menubars" and I changed the images under the "Menu Item" and "Menu bar items" sections. However those changes have only seemed to work for some applications:
1) Modified menu item image:
2) Original Menu item image:
The original menu item image still shows up in some windows applications like notepad, and in explorer windows, whilst the modified image shows up everywhere else. Does this mean that there's another image I need to modify, and if so where in SkinStudio would I find it? I tried hunting around SkinStudio but I couldn't find another instance of the light blue menu item image...
