A really dumb question re: TPM 2008

Sorry I have to ask this...

So, I've started playing campaign mode with Obama, but don't have an option to choose my difficulty level at the beginning. My first two successful campaigns (against Nixon and Grant) I saw at the end that the difficulty level was "simple." Is there any way to change this, or does it just naturally increase as I continue on in campaign mode?

Additionally, are media interviews, etc. only available in certain difficulty levels? Haven't seen them yet...

It naturally gets more difficult as the game progresses. The Campaign actually firces a given difficulty on you per-candidate (Washington is 'Painful', IIRC).

Media interviews should happen all the time (except MP games)...do the Camera icons randomly appear? You should hear a gong and see a spray of stars where they show up. You then have to send your candidate to the camera that coorisponds with their party (blue = democrat, red = republican).

Ah great, thanks.

You know, I probably just missed the cameras. I absolutely annihilated Nixon and Grant, so I guess I didn't even need that extra awareness!

One thing I did want to bring up was whether I could click on a state and see a list of all of my infrastructure in that state (operatives, ads, buildings) without having to click on every single person/building/ad icon on the map? For some states, like Florida, I could barely see the state itself there was so much stuff in it!

One of the features we want to add in an update is a 'Scaling' option. Right now, as more peices appear on the board, they will slowly get smaller. We can put the speed of this into the hands of the user so the board stays as cluttered/clean as they would want it :)

In the manual it said there was a way to view all campaign assets, but I cannot find this feature. It would really help to see what TV ads you already have running.

Is there a way?

Yup yup. Double-click an ad or candidate and it will launch the Asset window. That screen shows all of a player's assets in the game.

Alternatively, there is also an "Assets" button right below the candidate's name in the lower-left window on the main UI.

You can also bring up the Assets window by clicking on the "Assets" button - which is located right above your candidate's picture on the lower left corner of the screen.

It might be cool to ad a by state filter to the assets window in the future however.

It would also be nice if I could select assets from the asset window and have it take me to them ready to do whatever I want to do with them like when you regularly select them from the map screen.

There are times where you can't select some objects on the map, it's not that theres too many around them, it's not that they are too small, they just can't be selected, instead you end up selecting the state, so it would be great if there was an alternative way of selecting them (besides using the TAB key to scroll through painfully long lists of assets to finally get at the one you want).

Please.
