Hi all,

This game is so moddable! I've been fiddling around with all the folders, and most of the text/image files, and I think it'd be quite possible to make your own custom scenarios. However, I tried to do a test scenario, got all the text right, but whenever I load the game it still comes up as the nation of europa. I copied the europa text files, but I made my own state images, my own trace map, as far as I know all the necessary references to the europa map images were taken away, but i'm not sure. Anyone know if there is any specific line in a xml that is what I need to change?

Two thoughts instantly sprung to mind. First, an Australian scenario (who wouldn't want to recreate PM john howard getting kicked out of his own seat?). Second, and one I can get to work on without changing the map around; a more serious europe map. Perhaps simulating sometime in the near future with the heavily integrated EU. As much as I enjoyed the humourous style of the europa map the first time around, i'm starting to crave something more serious.

Anyone else planning on something?

We actually have some pretty robust tools for the game...perhaps we'll release them in an 'unsupported' state, since they're pretty unpolished (but get the job done)

We had to go with a goofy version of Europe since (we feared) there'd be an uproar if we stuck super realistic issues in our game's 'two party' system.

I understand Boogie, there's only so much you can do on a europe map with a two-party system.

To anyone interested, i've started work on the first mod. It'll be a "run for mayor" type of thing done in a fictional setting. I'm borrowing the drengi map, but every kind of stat is being overhauled to work in this more local setting.
