I look at JU's political main page, and out of the most 20 recent posts, there is 13 with "Obama" in it's title. And I am sure all of them is pretty slandering about him.
Also, I am quite sure many other titles without "Obama" in the title is speaking about the same man, in the very same way..
And you really don't want me to think JU isn't a republican-oriented forum? I mean, there are some Democratic strawmen (best example is Col Gene) standing, and also a few (very few) other non-republican-minded, but they are way demographicly outweighted...
This election is, for the first time, pretty open when you think of it. McCain and Obama both have a lot to offer to people on both sides (more than ANY candidates in the last 20 years), and both leave a somewhat-disgruntled base in their own party. There is a lot of party-changing potential for everybody, doesn't that leave you appreciative of the whole thing?
Also, both candidates are really promising. We are far from the Turd Sandwich & Giant Douche from 2004. I bet a lot more people than in both last presidential elections is going to vote for "their choice candidate" rather than "the lesser evil". Isn't something to rejoice about? Doesn't the quality of the political war wagering in the U.S. going up?
