I've been thinking.

I do that from time to time.

Anyhow, I've been thinking I have no choice but to vote. 

Earlier in the year I said, and meant it, that I felt I could not vote the way things were going.  I'm not excited about any of the candidates at all.  I've said repeatedly I'm not a McCain supporter and I had no desire to vote for him.

Of course many razzed me saying no vote is a vote for Hillary or Obama.  So what?  To me they all looked alike once you get past color and gender. 

Anyhow I've been thinking. 

Now it's down to two.  Obama and McCain. 

When all is said and done I have to admit Senator McCain has not spent decades aiding and abetting people who hate America. 

Quite the opposite.  He paid a huge price for resisting our enemies even as they held him prisoner and tortured him.   What has Obama done?  What has he proven to us? 

The choice is a no brainer.

I'm voting for McCain.

You said elsewhere that Sen. Obama had not worked in his life after indicating that he had been a community organizer.  He was also a state legislator and a senator.  Hmmm.  My background is in social work and a large part of that is working with families and communities.  I guess I haven't worked much by your standards, but then neither did your Jesus.  Let's see.  I guess if you don't get your hands dirty, literally, you don't work regardless of your commitment to people?

By your standards then, most Americans don't work.

As to knowing about Obama, why not read his books?  He has two out just now, a very interesting biography, Dreams From My Father and a politcal/idealistic treatise, The Audacity of Hope (both written before this presidential campaign).

Believe what you want.  I'm just telling you straight up.  I don't want to say this, but it's true.  I'd love for him to be the Christian he's claiming to be. I'd absolutely love it.  The words and actions don't mesh.  I'll be back later to give the Christian counter on his words.

Since when do you get to decide who is Christian and who is not? How could you possibly know his relationship with God. It is this type of arrogance that turns people off of Christianity.

being religious and being Christian are two diff things and I will explain what I mean shortly.
