I think Hillary should go as an Independent

    I think that Hillary should run as an Independent candidate. She obviously wants to run, and I believe that it is her right to do so. Heck, let her run as a Democrat with Obama. See if I care. But I do believe that she should run. And for fairness. Let my Republican status sink in, and, then, sure, make her run. I, however, believe that she should make the decision of whether or not she wants to run and stick with it.

Hillary knows that this year was her only chance. The republicans squandered their good will and basically the only way a republican can win this year is for the democrats to implode - and they may yet. That is why she would not let it go for so long. I guess her handlers told her to give it up and take the Veep job - then wait for a Sirhan B. Sirhan to do the rest.

While we're at it, let's have Ron Paul and Huckabee run as independent candidates, too. Hell, Fred Thompson, too, since it would make most of the 'conservatives' on this site wet themselves with excitement.

Anything to screw up the vote in your fellow's favor, right?

I'd take Huckabee before anyone.

Except maybe Jesus, but I doubt He'd be elected.

I guess you weren't around when whip and I dug up all the dirt on Huckabee.

He'd be my LAST place pick of all the candidates, Democrat and Repub combined. Dennis Kucinich before Huckabee.

(Of course, that little leprechaun Kucinich just makes me giggle, and his wife is a hottie.)

So do I, and I made that article in jest, but there are plenty of scum-scum-scummy things that Huckabee did as governor of Arkansas.

Hecks, I'd rather have Bush for four more years (and my distaste for that dirtbag is legendary) than have Huckabee as President of this country.

Hillary running as independent would ruin the chances of the Democrats attaining the White House in 08, so why would she do that? She loves her party and her country, and is more than accomplished enough to put aside the misfortunes she endured in the primary to support the Democrats in 08. Who knows, she may be named VP if Obama knows whats good for him
