New to the game with a question about using multiple mods at once

Just learning hope to use mods really. My question is about using multiple mods at the same time that use different effects. When in the options screen I have not figured out a way (if there is one) to click on multiple mods at the same time. Like for instance one mod is for more weapons effects while another uses different planet types. Thanks for any help even to tell me it's not possible.

You can only use a single mod folder at a time, but you can combine different mods into that single folder.

If you are careful about it.

My main mod folder is KHSM (Kryo's Hull System Mod).
Into that I have added elements of the Star Trek mod, some elements of other mods, as well as some of my own.

If there are elements in files of the same name and location, you will have to cut and paste them into a single file.
