LAN GAME / 1 COPY ON 2 COMPS

Quick question.  Sins allows for 2 computers to be running the game on a LAN with the same serial.  I just interested my buddy into playing the game with me but we live quite a distance from each other and packing up and moving comps for a day isn't quite doable.

My question is, can I host the game locally and have him connect directly through IP and would Sins allow this under 1 serial?

Other question is, it's been a while since I installed the game.  Is the serial needed for installation or just to connect to ironclad online multiplayer, and to d/l updates?

Use HamachiCreates a virtual lan over the internet.

Or just configure a VPN [ which hamachi does for you ]
