Have you heard of VirtuaWin?

An awesome piece of software.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtuawin/

VirtuaWin is an awesome open-source desktop manager that lets you move between virtual monitors by moving your mouse. It's open source, too, by the way, and compatible with Stardock's screen customization software. You can set it up to move your screen with the mouse, meaning an effective multiplication of your screen room (the standard is four, but you can have nine easily). Try it, it takes five minutes to download and install, and it will let you go from screen to screen with ease. You can set constant programs to take everywhere. Five @'s.

It's free, simple (the standard setup will do fine for most everyone, you'll know if you need the other releases), and useful. Try it today.

Went and took a look, they really need more screenshots or even a demo video to help you understand what the software really does.  :NOTSURE:

It's open-source. Unless another user posts something like on YouTube, then the explanations will be very terse.

But yeah, this looks good. But this raises the question: What will you do with 9 desktops?

It lets you switch from virtual-desktop to virtual-desktop. I don't explain it, because it's meant for Linux users who don't like how Windows works. You can set it up to scroll with mouse.

Say that you're writing and browsing, you can put them on different desktops, and switch when needed.

erathoniel I guess I missed the part about Linux.

I would just like more desktop space and not have to switch to different virtual desktops. I came across this a little while ago. Check the link and see what you think about it. WWW Link  ;)

I use Stardock's Virtual Desktops (XP and Vista Business32) and it does the job for me.

Never saw either of those before. What I like about VirtuaWin is its ability to scroll with mouse. Though the ability to put custom wallpapers on each one is one of my wants. VirtuaWin uses one for all.
