I don't know how many people noticed that statement from the Frog.

After I read the community concerns (which this isn't the only thread that contains them) I started asking around to see what we can do for the community.

At first, people would think that it should be easy just to give out the un-encrypted images, but it's not. It requires extra man hours and testing as well as changes to our system and products.

This is what we are PLANNING (note that it is not set in stone!):

1) We are updating ThemeManager to bring it up to the current software releases.
2) For the INSPIRED MyColors themes only, there will be a .Suite file for OD subscribers discount sales. This will NOT happen for IP related Themes.
3) OD subscribers will get a MyColors AND a Suite download when they purchase

Now, this will take some work and will take time to happen. We will have to go through all the Themes and make .suite files out of them, update the store and web pages and get ThemeManager updated before this happens.

In the mean time, it looks like people are just going to have to work with what they can make. I don't have a good way of distributing images, and I can't just hand them out to everyone. They aren't currently in .Suite files, so that isn't an option, either.

I'll have to think about that one.




And yet some people still say that Stardock has turned into a company that doesn't care about what the community wants anymore :NOTSURE:

I'm having a problem with mine. I can't get the shell styles to work. I just get plain white windows on the right and folders on the left. If I click on the folders button the right screen just takes over the whole window (no common tasks). This is the only one that does this.

That was only 10 days ago. I'm pretty sure that was the news and that the portion in bold probably referred to longer than a week and a half. ;)

Any news about the camouflage.suite version with uncrypted images ?   

It's now not only 10 days that camouflage is out but 2 monthes ...
During these two monthes there has been tens of Impulse updates but it seems no one from Stardock had the time to do what seem quiet simple to me, that is to say make the camouflage WB avaible as uncrypted file (even apart of any MyColors updated file or apart any .suite made)
Not simple ? oh yes it is: just make it as uncrypted, put it on a server and just give the link only to those who purchased the camouflage MyColors ...  :(

I began to play with Camouflage and there's a problem with the XP version.
Impossible to apply any Explorer Background to it (it's bad as there's a camouflage one already avaible  :LOL: )

I looked a little how the skin is done and i think Camouflage and Camouflage Vista are both made for Vista (there are plenty of "vista things" in the XP version).
To be sure i also looked up in Gloss Burgundy XP and Vista version and the XP version has not all what Camouflage version has inside for vista ...

Should it be possible to fix that ? (i would have done it myself, but i'm not sure at all what is for Vista, what is for XP, what is for both ... )
