Weather Docklet not detecting internet???

Weather Docklet not detecting internet???

I've made no changes what so ever, but today my weather docklet does not work. It just says "Internet Not Available". I've turned off all firewalls and etc, verified other bits of object dock work fine... Any help? ObjectDock Plus 1.9

Hi I'm trying to access a toronto location, but the feed is never avilable. it stopped working about 2 days ago. btw, i enter any location such as 'agfdagdg' and it just says feed not available (as opposed to "enter a valid location"). Tried to restart it a few times and it still doesn't work.

My location is Hartford CT ive tryed adding Hartford,CT or just Hartford CT tryed zip codes 06114 06111 ive even tryed other zip codes from mass to florida, it comes and goes when it feels like it, thatswhy i think it may be something from accuweather if thats where it gets its feed from.

hmm you know what. could it be that the live bookmark fails to load properly? i think a lot my rss feeds are not loading properly. anyone having a similar problem?

f20k - after checking your location code please copy and paste this location into the properties of the weather docklet:

Toronto, Canada (Ontario)

Let me know if that works for you.

Kendo was testing a few things with the weather docklet and found a small work around for the troubles described in this thread. It is an unoffical workaround but it might do the trick for some.

You can find it here: https://forums.wincustomize.com/332642

kk first i tried Toronto, Canada (Ontario). - Doesn't work, "enter a valid location"
then downloaded the fix.

tried Toronto, Canada (Ontario) again - still doesn't work, "enter a valid location"

tried a couple of postal code, dont work - location not found

typed Toronto, - gave me Toronto, Kansas

typed Toronto, Canada - i think this one is right. works again. Thank you.

go too accuweather website to see how you particular country is listed and enter it

they all have to be entered in capital letters

and leave out the bits in commas

hope this helps

mine workd fine.

Having similiar problem with weather docklet not updating.  currently stuck on last week.  I do not get the message about "no access to internet".  just doesn't update.  firewall does not seem to be blocking it.  i've tried removing and reinstalling, but to no avail.

My docklet is also stuck on last Thursday.  Tried updating, restarting the dock, restarting my computer, deleting the docklet and recreating it. All to no avail.  Considering more people than myself have this issue, I doubt it's anything with just our computers.

There is a workaround that was puzzled out by one of our techs last week. You can find it here and posted above:

This should help most people with getting the weather docklet running in the current version available through Impulse.

My weather docklet says "Feed not available... Try again later".

No matter I tried entering my location to view weather forecast, it still doesn't work.

Please help.  (I live in Bangkok, Thailand)

The workaround mentioned by Seabass works great.  I've not received anymore "Feed not available" messages since.  Thank you!

Same problem here!  I believe it's tied to AVG anti virus software running!  8.0.238 seems to be causing the issue.  Can anyone else tie it to the same type of problem?

I'm using Soho, not AVG and the "internet not available" only just appeared the last day or maybe 2.  The only change I've made was to do the Windows' Update yesterday.

My Accuweather link is not updating now after the latest Windows Vista update. Was working before, but has now stopped. Getting Internet Not Available message. Have traied various places across the country to no avail. Have even turned off firewall and antivirus....no luck. Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

My  educated guess as a daily user of OD is that there is an issue with accuweather dot com,not a problem with ObjectDock or the docklet. This has been an infrequent but annoying error ever since I started using OD. The problem will get ironed out in time.

Patience everyone, and no need to uninstall/reinstall anything or reload the docklet.(It won't help anyway)

My weather docklet, the AccuWeather one with the fancy 5 day flyout is working fine. The only problem is its constantly forecasting rain (to make matters worse its always right!).
