Sorry my friend, far too many of Obama's 'closest' friends and influences have shown their ugly racist faces by now for us to believe that despite his VERY close associations with these people he's not a racist too.
I guess he had the wrong friends, and he is now realising that!lol.
I will tell you from experience, of some of my friends, how they think that is, and though I can't and am not speaking for Obama, I'll tell you what might be behind the way he is, in my opinion.
I have friends and relatives who may not be super wealthy but they have worked their way up there, have their businesses, etc., they look at things in black and white, what is not being done for the black race, what hasn't been done for the black race and what will never be done for the black race.
They speak about the things that have been taken away and denied. They look at the Republicans and see a group that will never look at things from their p.o.v. unless they (the Republicans ) want something, like their votes. The promises made are never fulfilled. They are skeptical of what goes on in Politics and yes, who isn't?! They too are aware of the group that are lazy, good for nothings that makes it even harder for all black folks and have everyone of other races lumps us all into one basket. While they may not agree 100 percent with how this pastor speaks, they do understand what he's saying and where all that is coming from. And they will agree because it is what all of us have experienced in our lives.
But they do know that making life better for everyone doesn't include acting and talking this way because it gets us all no where. And also, too many of us have sit for years and do nothing, they hear the talks, know right from wrong, but do nothing because they are possibly outnumbered because of the many who feel justified in their disillusionment.
Perhaps, Obama was in this category and got his wake up call when he began to run for the Presidency! It takes a while, but some of us do realise and try to make a difference. Perhaps this is where his change come in, because he himself realise that there has to be changes within.
The man is a crock of shit, period. And a weak one at that.
Aren't they all though? Politicians in general! I'm sure he realises what a shithead he is and is making the changes within to not be the shithead that you and others see him to be. Hence the exit from his church!
Pflegger is not a reverse racist, he is just a racist
I stand corrected!lol!
Obama made one mistake. He did not live his life as he was running for president. That is a mistake that many make, as most do not open their natal eyes and say "I am going to be president
I agree with you! It seemingly is a learning curve for him, (dare I ponder that) and it is why he realises that "no this isn't a good thing and never has been" and so takes a step back from what he knows is wrong.
I make fun of Obama because I do not like his voting record (I do not know the man). He may make a good president, but not one that I will agree with. When he started, I saw a young idealistic man. I now see just another opportunist. But then I would not expect anyone to survive the primary process with their ideals intact.
By all means, you and a whole lot of others!lol! They do it to Clinton and possibly less to McKain, his military status makes him less open for ridicule (so it seems to me).
Donna for President! (Seriously, you are better than any we have running this year).
LOL! Hmmm, now that's a ticket to behold! I would have to line up the lot of you to help me run!
If I were black I'd be offended that he put on his best street "African American" accent during his sermon
It was amusing to watch, sickeningly amusing! He was a riot! I think we Americans get shocked too easily! We perhaps need to take a step back, slap a few people upside the head, then take another look and have a good laugh! That goes for everytime there's a situation like this pertaining to the mocking of both races, open forum, gloves off, no one allowed to get offended!
[quote]"We's be here to hep ya's wif you cribs", I'm sure it would have been mentioned. (slightly exagerated and no offense if that is how you are able to communicate).
Have you ever heard me speak? LOL! You would be surprised! See my writing pattern!
