Can't build large fleet

Research - can't find the points

Playing game today, just purchased. I was playing a 1 v 1 game against computer. I was Vasari race and was playing easy.

Researched all of the Warfare and Empire categories and then went to Fleet Logistics to increase fleet size. Tried clicking to go to Deployment Monitoring and there was the requirement that I needed 1 point in Captive Suppliers. I can not find where to get this one point. In the research for Vasari in both Warfare and Empire there is no choice for Captive Suppliers. I can't find where I can get this one point.

I quickly ran another game with a different racejust to look at the needed points for the other race in Fleet Logistics. Same thing, needed a point in an area that was not listed in research for that race.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Move your cursor 100px to the left. There is Captive Suppliers.

Note that you can't skip items from left-to-right in those two trees - you have to research the first box, then the second, then the third... even if the second or third is coloured indicating that you have enough resources to buy it. (Ironclad should correct this.)

Enjoy the game!

Thanks to all of you. To me it looked like the first slot was already "on" and I didn't even think of clicking it.
Blessing in disguise as it was 12:30 AM and I stopped playing and went to bed because I couldn't figure it out.
Again-

Thanks everyone.

BTW whats not been mentioned you have to watch your fleet supply located top right of the screen left of the money info.

If this is low you cannot increase your fleet size according to the size of your empire.

I have learnt that only after massing 3 huge fleets of 2500 ships...but peeved by Fleet commands
