Favicon??

Photobucket

I just set up some new extensions in Firefox, and added all my most visited sites in my link bar, and one of the extensions I added got rid of the bookmark name and just shows the favicon which shows up in the address bar next to the link. Since Wincustomize and Stardock are a couple of my most visited, and these are customization based sites, I wondered why I don't see the stardock logo or the lizard?? With all the wonderful customizations I use, I don't think it's too much to ask for 2 tiny icons to complete my FF link bar. Actually, its not really a big deal, I was just curious why there aren't any for these sites. Sorry to be so picky........

Yeah they somehow disappeared after the database overhaul, and I'm not sure why the one for Stardock doesn't show up. I can see it in the tab when I visit the site, but none in my bookmarks.

Alright, I found a way to add my own icons for now, if anyone else has Wincustomize or Stardock in their bookmark bar, and would like to add favicons, here you go.

Go here WWW Link and download this extension to add your own favicons. I then used a couple of icons off here, I don't know who to give credit to for them, sorry. Go to Tools\Add-Ons then choose the Options to this extension and walk through them. I resized the icons, and have them here: Wincustomize WWW Link and Stardock WWW Link . Needless to say, I have a full link bar with all my icons, and am happy now :D .

Do you have the link to or name of that extension?

For others who may want the link I asked for. OneLumpSum left it on my personal page so here it is.

you could just go into the properties window of your links and leave the title blank. voila, only the icon shows up. =p

That is true, but with this extension, the name of the link will expand when you mouseover. So it will make more room for links, and also show the link name in case you forget what one of the icons is for.
