Election in Afghanastan

I am sick and tired of Bush beating the drum about the elections in Afghanistan. Ohh.. The first voter was a 19 year old woman. How cute. That doesn't change the fact that the elections were not successful because all of the candidates besides the US backed candidate dropped out in the middle of the election. First of all, we need an investigation into whether their accusations of unfair election practices regarding the thumb ink are correct. Further, what the hell is the USA doing interfering with their election by backing a candidate? That is not the way an election is supposed to work.. talk about failed democracy. And now you think Iraq is going to work?

Did you know this has already been hashed out when Lee brought it up?

Which is more important 15 candidates or the millions who voted?

How is it supposed to work... i thought democracy was when you are allowed to voice your opinion? How exactly did the USA interfere with the debates?? Did they stick a gun to the opponent's head(im being sarcastic, Sandy, your not supposed to agree with that question). The simple backing of a candidate is allowed.

Sandy, I'm sorry, but this post shows how pitifully uninformed you are and how you're just regurgitating DNC talking points.

And for cripes sake, the Dems, trumpeting it every chance they get, want us to believe every other country backs Kerry, so how can the U.S. supporting Karzai be a problem? The U.S. is not meddling in or rigging their election.

Cheers,
