I think that You can change the logo a little Like not to be exactly like it but remnicent and I will be fine Like i will give a example

It is just a quick pic but Its not the playboy logo and you can look at it and know that it means playboy? You know not exactly that imaage but here is the original and If it was just tweaked a little bit you can use it and name it something other than playboy and It would be legal?




Or find a way to email the peeps at playboy and explain the situation get permission if you can I am shure they would think it is cool that you can customize your pc with there logo they may even buy windows blinds to have their pcs at the mantion playboy!

i would love to do It! It would be awsome. I could be In black and Pink for girls and maybie in black and white or other colors for everyone. If you could find a way to get permission text or find out if the tweaking of the imgae would work and be legal then I will do it!

I contacted Playboy a while back about using their image, making a skin and they almost bit my head off.

Regarding playboy there is a lot more than a bunny pic.
I've seen a opera playboy skin. It was fabulous with some skin colored buttons and a sexy background(this is why I cant use it).

If you change the image it is not the logo legal and Would fly? Just becasue it is not the exact image doesnt make the skin non playboy. It will be the same Ima tellin ya! I dont know though

If they say you changed their image and used their stuff for your purpose. Whatever that is or maybe... you have broke copyright laws. If it even remits to being Playboy - then they see it as theirs. Thus you changed their logo and can be in violation of the law that protects it.
There is a way to do it. But I'm not going there! I would contact a copyright lawyer first up and see what he says may be your best approach. There is one - for a lot of people do get permission to use their stuff. But I believe there are guidelines...very strict ones.

I made a Playboy skin a while back and was not able to upload for lack of permission.

I even had a wonderful person helping me in to get permission granted. Thus "Couldabin". Hey, why waste a whole WB.

It's always possible to make a skin very Playboy like without using anything that might conflict with their copyright images.
It's also possible to post a tutorial about replacing specific images in SKS.

The Playboy bunny image is a logo/trademark and cannot be classed as fair use or fan art.

Such organisations tend to defend their copyright with much vigour due to the considerable financial value such trademarks have.

Better pick another magazine,like Readers Digest,Ladies Home Journal,Field and Stream or something. ;p
