well we still don`t have a name for the mysterious Planet!!
it appears to be uninhibited at the moment the race that use to be there long gone!!!
the only other thing added was that there was strange incidents happening!! when asked about the incidents ,!!we were told Just incidents!! and it was slowing down progress.

News flash:

The planet with a face that looks like a Yor may well be in control of the Yor Collective. A Terran Alliance scout ship saw several Yor Collective ships in orbit before quickly leaving. More to come...

News-break:

The Yor Collective denies having control of the planet, saying it is to far away from the rest of thier terriotory to be anything but a hinderance, and the ships spotted in orbit (they also critisize the Alliance for sending a military ship into neutral sapce) had gotten lost and were remaining stationary so they would all be thier when thier distress call was answered.

In other news, the Drath Legion has increased its peacekeeping force in former Drengin space in response to increased insurgant attacks.

The Drengin are rumored to be ordering insurgent strikes to get their territory back, but Lord Kona denies any involvment, and says that the attacks are purely the insurgent's ideas. The Drath have suprisingly accepted Altarian and Terran assistance in investigating the assaults. This is a major step in rebuilding relations. More to come...

News flash:

A Terran task force was sent today to investigate the strange planet after the media found out about the planet. At government centers throughout the Terran Alliance, uproars and protests started about the planet being classified, saying that the government should not be allowed to classify things of this matter. A debate started in the senate discussing an amendment limiting the power of the government to classify material.

As for the investigation fleet, they arrived at the planet without incident and began investigating. They were about to conclude that the face of the planet was a bizzare and harmless formation, until what appeared to the Yor's eyes blinked. They then detected a Yor fleet, and left.

We will bring more updates as they come.

Update:

We've just gotten word that a fleet of Korx ships has been sighted in orbit of the planet. The Korx fleet consisted of three battle-cruisers, eight destroyers, and thirteen destroyer escorts. The Yor fleet, which consisted of a colony ship and several squadrons of fighters, went on high alert as soon as the Korx arrived. There was a stand-off, but niether fleet engaged, and the Yor are rumored to have left.

In other news, Terran commandoes raided a major insugent base on Kiper IV today and found an enormous cache of weapons. Disturbingly, most of these weapons were AK-27s and M-86s, both of which are of Terran design.

We will bring updates to these and more stories as they come in.

News Flash:

More information on the insurgent has arrived. After looking at the cache of weapons, which were recovered by a strike team rumored to be lead by Jordan Locke, no leads have been found about the weapons. However, several cargo ships with unknown affiliation were seen heading for the planet that has the base. The team stopped them once they had returned to their ships. Most of the ships were innocent, but one had Drengin pretending to be Drath. The team detained them. The Drengin Empire complained about the captures, saying the Drengin were unfairly taken with no evidence, and for Terrans operating in Drath space. The United Planets, shot down both of these complaints.


No news on the planet, though it is likely more will arrive.

MMM this source is my most reliable source the fact that there well be no more reports,.. make me wonder if in fact the UP is hiding something there!!Altho my other sources have trickle down little to no info on the planet I`m hopeful,.. that more info well be released

Update:

We have recieved confrimation from the UP that the Korx have sent scouts to the mysterious planet. Kralax denies that they are planning colonization, only looking for "lucrative mineral deposits", and he expressed no intrest in the formation that resembles a Yor face. Given that Korxian enviornmental policies leave a great deal to be desired, this reporter feels that the mystery of the formation will be forever unsolved.

In a related story, Kralax turned down questions about why the fleet that scared off the Yor colony ship was so large, only making a back-handed comment that "shotgun diplomacy is all that works with the Yor."

New Break:

Today the debate over the strange planet turned violent. A convoy of Korx ships was apparently destroyed. We have received the ship's communications log.

Korx pilot: Entering orbit, awaiting next instructions.
Unknown voice: Leave this place. The UP has ordered it.
Korx: This is no interest to you, you stupid Terran. Fire!

(Several ships were then destroyed)

Korx: Everyone retreat! Wait, what are they...(contact lost)



It is rumored that the person who the Korx ships fired at and then destroyed by was Jordan Locke, who led the raid on the insurgent base. Jordan was in orbit over the insurgent planet at the time this occured, so it couldnt have been him. The voice also had a robotic intone to it, and several Yor ships were in orbit of the mystery planet after the incident occured. This means that it is highly likely that the Yor were responsible.

After this, the UP ordered the system off limits to entry. More news will come.

News-break:

A large energy spike consistant with a wormhole was detected in the Eagle systen earlier today. A distress call was recived shortly after this, and a Terran cruiser was sent to investigate. It found what appeared to be another Terran ship, a Constitution class, but a strange symbol- a stylized Earth with a sword stabbing through it- was painted on the hull, and when the ship was boarded, the crew were all dead.

In other news, A feirce gun battle erupted in the town of Quarlo on the former Drengin planet Tiberius III between Drengin insurgants and Drath peacekeeper forces. The fight lasted for two hours, and resulted in the death of three Drath soldiers, at least ten insugants dead, as well as the deaths of three civilians. The remaining insurgants retreated, and the attack appears to be a hit-and-run mission intended to only inflict casualties.

In response, Praetor Tal'on, the reigional Drath commander in Quarlo, moved curfew in the are to 7:00 PM Terran Standard Time, and increased the nunber of checkpoints in and around the city.

And for our final story, a recent poll found that 65% of Terrans don't know what they'd do in hypothetical situations.

News Flash:

Drengin insurgents are striking harder and harder against the Drath. A key government building has been destroyed, causing the Drath to request aid from the UP. The UP refused, claiming it was busy. A fleet of Altarian and Terran ships arrived to help the Drath. The insurgents were quickly chased away, though the UP claims it will impose punishments on the people in the fleets, as well as the Terran and Altarian goverments.

As a response, mass riots broke out in UP buildings throughout the Alliance and Republic. Many building were torched, and several UP council members that ordered the punishments were attacked. No one was killed, though several civilizations say that they may leave the UP, claiming it exists to simply control the galaxy for its own gain.

Dr. Rico Hernendez, a leading Terran therotical physisist, offered commentary on the ship found in the Eagle system after the strange energy spike, saying that there is a chance--albeit an extremely small one,-- that the aforementioned ship may have come from a paralell universe, though he says this is only speculation.

In other news, an air stike on an insugant compound occured at 11:00 P.M. Terran Standard Time last night, and it was confirmed that D'Ja Kara'tann, a major insugant leader and the same Drengin who executed three captured Drath soldiers, was killed in the attack. General Heirich Rommel, supreme commander of the Allied Peacekeeping Force, stated in a news confrence:

"We are well on the way towards driving the insurgants out of the sector with thier tails between thier legs, and I'm completely confident that we're going to beat them to a pulp until they funaly do run away."

And for our final story for now, A.P.F commanders are setting up a civilian defence force in former Drengin space, saying that the inhabitants of the captured planets, although Drengin, want to be rid of the insurgants, as they often murder civilians to maintain a state of fear.
