Emerging from the depths of space . . .

Emerging from the depths of space . . .

~He stands upon the bridge surveying the empty space about the aging warship. Standing upon the bridge of the Star Warden, a sleek ovoid of the immense Proselyter-class. It's aging hull spoke of the tender carress and kisses of dust and micrometeroids that were ubquitious in the Void. This warship, however, had lost none of its power and little of its impressiveness, due to the demanding repairs and maintenance the stern Captain required.

It was capable of bending the minds of an entire solar system full of worlds. The merchant vessels it accompanied like a intimidating older sibling had holds full of the valuable trade goods so necessary to gain a foothold in target societies. Then the Clerics followed, accompanied by Knights should hostilities arise anyway. Lastly . . If logic failed to persuade the infidel to join the Enlightened, it was comforting to know the Warden also possessed the might to pulverize entire planets, or gobble up enemy fleets like the candied Varsuva fruit favored by his 1st Officer.

Now, however, it was alone in this sector of space. Hard to make converts if no sentients are to be had, the Captain reflected. A large, bearish man of some fifty years (elven hundred if one added in the cryotank sleeps), he chewed on the end of a narcostick thrust into one corner of his expansive mouth.

Even the subspace communication bandwidths were silent, save for the constant static, pops, and whistles that spoke of nearby forming stellar formations and the background noise consisting of the cries of distant pulsars and birthing suns.

"It would appear that we alone survived, Captain. Your orders?

"Set course Alpha-Omega, Ensign. The course the astrophysics officer suggested". It was the most likely plot to find missing Hegemony ships . . and had the same chance of a snowball in hell of being successful, the Captain knew. Space was mindboggling in its dimensions, vast and frightening.

The captain tugged at his walrus mustache. An ancient affectation, it was not against regulations per se, but frowned upon by the politically correct amongst the Hegemony knights. He always enjoyed tweaking the sensitivities of the ship's political officer. An unbending scientist-cleric with a nervous tic, he was a constant gadly at the Captain's elbow. Thankfully, today, he was a the ship's vespers, and not plaguing the Captain with his weevil voice and shrewish manner.

The Captain turned to survey the passing solar system, noting with pleasure the presence of a comet. Water was often a hard resource to find and expensive to produce on their own. A small miner craft attached to his tiny fleet would no doubt be making a call to the stellar body, to shore up the ship's reserves of the precious liquid. He smiled, fresh coffee this week.

. and did his best to put aside his fears, not spoken of to the crew, that the mighty Empire of the Irrefutable had passed like so many before it . . . ~

Everflyer could smeel fear and battle in the air... The searing smoke and the battle cries that raged around him. Everlfyer held his rifle tight as he weaved between ruins of the burned down buildings and baricades. he stood up straight and fired a volly of paulse blasts at an on comming artillary unit.

He continued his way to the frontline. Missiles flew low over head bombarding the allied base. He could hear the gunshots ringing in his ears. He could now see his troops firing at will. the commanding officer dead. "Where's the air support?!" Everflyer Screamed over the raging battle, "How far have the Geckodon's breached our parimeter?!".
"Sir air support has engaged a Geckodon artillery Fleet in the inner-rim. They will be held up. We have managed to hold them off by activating the Flak turrents on the forest Canopy level. they have received heavy bombardment. we might be able to push foward and regain some key points" The Guard Yelled back. Everflyer scanned the map. "Lets try and secure this area... it contains an Anti-StarShip cannon. If we aim that at the Geckodon forward command base we can deal a dramatic blow to the enemy" Everflyer said.

It had been only a few weeks of dimplomacy with the Geckodon empire. But under beth's new rule she had dismissed the offers of peace and massed A HUGE Invation army. Already a few outrim planets had fallen. Without support from the Kzinti, United federation or Autobot armies the T.U.F.C wasleft to fed for itself. Everflyer knew Seth would have been more diplomatic but since Beth had killed him of she was the rightful heir.

Everflyer lead the first wave of defenders into combat, the second wave was due in 2 days. it was his job to secure the secote before they arrived... but so far the Geckodons had evened the odds 50/50 they too have back-up forces on their way. The Geckodon fleet was much smaller than the T.U.F.C but their amazing speed and tactical assault had made them supirior in the initial battles...

It have been 2 weeks now and no reply from the HCH. Everflyer feared that it was a pointless endevour, the HCH wouldn't reply. It's a shame because so far Ever had determined they had no planet of their own. ever could have arranged them to colonize a Resource rice out-rim world.

Hey Popcorn Avenger...great to see you back on the forums!!

The HCH did unfortunatley fade away from the glorious empire it once was...though you may find comfort knowing that many of the former hegemonians left the HCH to form the Tyranny of Evil. Would be great to have you there with us, here is a link to our empire page where you will find links for joining and our private forums too.

Good write up too mate, the galciv scene sure is a little different from when you were last around, be sure to check out the MVL too mate.

The war was over... The geckodon fleets fleed T.U.F.C Space. Their ships Battered and Smoking. Since Seth took control of the Geckodon empire once again Those Geckodon rebels ahd no where to go... No where to run.

Everflyer could see the smoking ruins of these planets... It pained him how much damage had been caused due to the battles. The grand cities once filled with life and Commerce now lay in total ruins... this would be many years work for the Corperation... ZAFT had agreed to help rebuild the technical works. As the Confederacy agreed to help rebuild the cities.

The trip home was a long one... he had to cross half why across the empire just to get the capital. Along the way he had time to clean his blade. Everflyer was getting tired... Very tired. He could feel the weight pressing down on him... the Universe had a fate for him, one that was very grim.

Apon arrival to the capital Everflyer could she the volcanic planet bubbling away in all it's glory. The Capital wasn't built on a Lush Planet, filled with life and beauty. No it was built on a Volcanic planet. The City itelf was under the earth, protected by a thick layer of metal and shielding. The only way to enter the city was via a fissure which only small vessels could dock in. Traffic was heavy though and commerce thrived here. This planets Resources where numerous, and the metal alloys made it a great shipyard.

day 1
The docking was sucessful and everflyer entered the city. he could already see his lift arriving.

Day 2
He was surprised to hear from the HCH. this would be the first step towards forming a alliance with the Great empire of the past. It was an invite to their flagship, and interest in a planet the T.U.F.C had offered.

Day 4
The geckodon escourt fleet had arrived. he could see them bringing the battered crest with them. a dread lord invention to mimic a Crest of anialation. Everflyer took it into his work station... Draw a circular equation on the table and placed the Crest in the middle... Seth watched intently, he hadn't ever seen Complex Alchemy before. With a flash the Crest turned to dust which everflyer batted off the table. It sprinkled to the ground.

Day 5
Sensors detected a large Void that had opened in the middile of TUFC space... One his way to the meeting with the HCH everflyer investigated this wonder. He was surprised to see a small Fighter that had been thrown through... 2 life signs aboard. both Human, but the ship ws of unknown origin and design... an alternate reality maybe? Further investigation was required but he was possitive, these people where not local.
