News is out today that apparently Democratic Senator Ted Kenney (from Massachusetts) suffered a seizure over the last few days which is now believed to have been caused, at least in part, by a malignant brain tumor. These are the sorts of things that end normal joking and political tweaking between the various parties and persons of different political leanings. Even if you despise Kennedy's politics, or his own personal history, most decent human beings would still wish for better and hope that Kennedy's health wasn't an issue.
I'm no fan of the man, and really never cared much for his politics (though I actually have admired his brothers, especially JFK) as he was too liberal for my own tastes, but there are very, very, very few that I would ever wish the sorts of health issues that Kennedy is now facing upon. (I have to caveat that statement and can't just make a blanket statement that I wish it upon no-one. There have been a few individuals that I've encountered in my lifetime that I have had thoughts of hatred about, and I've wished some fairly evil things upon them in the name of justice and fairness. Even some that I've not met -- thinks about Osama Bin Laden -- that I think would make a great alternate for these health issues.

Ted Kennedy has had a fairly long life, with many accomplishments, but also many periods of tragedy and sadness. I hope that the remainder of his life passes gently.
