Stardock is proud to announce the release of IconPackager 4. IconPackager allows users to easily, and safely, change nearly all of the Windows icons at once using icon "packages".  IconPackager 4 has been through quite the overhaul, one of which is the most noticeable is the completely new user interface.

There are hundreds of these packages available for download on WinCustomize.   Creating or modifying an icon pack is as simple as drag and dropping your own icons.  Users of Windows Vista will certainly appreciate the feature updates in IconPackager 4.

Some of these include:

  1. Completely new UI.
  2. The ability to upscale pre-Vista icons.
  3. Vista users can set Live Folder icons independently of the icon package.
  4. Recoloring feature to easily change icon colors on-the-fly.

A free trial download is available.  IconPackager 4 is available for $19.95, and is part of the Object Desktop suite of desktop enhancements.   Existing users of IconPackager can upgrade for $9.95.

I'm not complaining. I updated and went from the "new" style (4) back to the "old" style (3). I didn't do it, the update did. I didn't think I would ever get it (3), because I never backed it up. Well, what do ya know. I like (3) because it shows all the icon sizes "preview". That way I can go back and redo any icons that might be messed up. Thanks Stardock. ;)

It won't install on my system; I get a mysterious error message about an (unidentified) file not being found. I've opened a support ticket.

I have a valid desktop ultimate registration, why is it asking me to register and how do I?

Still 3.20.163 avaible on SDC  :NOTSURE:

And BTW, still no possibility as previous 3.20.128 to recolor a whole package (which was done by icondeveloper ...) and save the new package ? Sure it's a great improvment for the new version  (:(

Why didn't they make so you can only install the icons "you" want installed. Instead of changeling all icons? I wont install this! :( It also messed up my WinZip icon shell. Now I can't update WinZip because IconPackager took over it's icon. If I were you I would stay on version 3.20!

Sigh... once again, SDC not showing the proper updates. Only version 3.99.149 showing as available/installed. PLEASE, Stardock... until Impulse is out of beta and working for ALL users, PLEASE continue to update SDC correctly! You are really annoying long-term users!!

An "Always Exclude Icon or App" would be an interesting feature.  Might want to email that to Stardock support.

@G4E, @snake108:
IconPackager 4 is only being delivered through Impulse or the standalone installer. You can download Impulse from this page: http://www.impulsedriven.com/about.asp Or download it from the link on your registrations page.

I think there was a miscommunication. Hang on.

Okay, back.

Object Desktop users will be able to get IconPackager 4 on Stardock Central.  They're putting it up now.  There was a miscommunication with regards to stand alone users of IconPackager - they won't be able to get IconPackager 4 via Stardock Central.

But it will be a new download. Sorry about the internal miscommunication.

I did. This had support in version 3.2 Why didn't it carry over to version 4/ This is a downgrade in my books. :(

Frogboy, apart the fact of being yet or not on SDC, (which i consider as a temporarly trouble) what is (more than) hurting me is the giving up of previous possibility as said:
