Then you need to study your history better, we have had three accidents in the United States, only one made it to the public. The Soviet Union had 15 accidents of which only one was made public. Each time the Soviet Union screwed up they lost at least five towns or cities. Not so for us, we built them safe from the start so when we have an accident few people are even in danger.

NASA, the Oil Companies, any college geology department. It has been basic knowledge since the 1970’s but environmentalist try not to go in that direction because for decades it was called fossil fuels and they like people thinking that the fuel requires fossils, hence we will run out of oil so we have to stop using oil.

As for the comment about educating about global warming, I can only speak for myself and comment on what I have read. However, I would say that most of the members of JU are very well educated on the subject, and that has lead to a greater skepticism of the whole religion. One tactic used by the shaman of the new religion is to frame the question into a yes or no answer, and then use that answer to answer a different question.

I watch these channels on a regular basis. Most is rehashed junk science that tents to lean more to the nut jobs than science. Some shows tell only part of the truth. Yes, the planet is getting warmer. It is getting warmer at the same rate that the planets Venus and Mars are warming. The major source of heat in this solar system is the sun. yet, the global climate change people won’t even take into account that the sun is our sole source of heat. And since Venus and Mars are also getting warmer and there is no man on either planet it is reasonable to assume that man is not the cause. There is also a ten year gap with the global climate change nuts and science. When we were warming up as we usually do they were screaming ice age. Now that we are cooling down they are screaming global warming. This is the cycle the Earth has followed for millennia yet man has only been the dominant species for the last 6 thousand years. We are coming out of an ice age which means we are warming up. We are now at the beginning stages of a mini ice age. And still people are saying that we are all going to die from heat. Try reading the credits on your so called science shows. If you pay attention you will notice that the roman numerals show most of the data they used is from the 70’s and 80’s re-cut and re-edited with a new narrator. I have studied the science rather than the political hype. Science is factual not consensual what I mean is there is a consensus that the earth if flat. Facts say it is round. It was proven to be round in the 1300’s yet there is still the flat earth society, I have been to their website.



Is it your contention that drilling domestically for oil is not going to reduce our dependence for foreign oil? Are you aware that there is more oil in the United States than in Saudi Arabia? Do you know that because our refineries are at 110% capacity that we have to take 30% of our domestic oil and ship it out of the country to be refined into gasoline then pay a tax on that gasoline to have it shipped back to us because now it is an imported product? So building more refineries won’t reduce the cost of gasoline. Is that your position? Are you sure you want to step into this mud pit with what little you have shown so far to be false and or misleading? Are you aware that if we just eliminate the mid range gasoline that it would free up a third of the refining capacity since auto makers don’t produce engines that benefit from mid range fuel and the environmentalist are the ones that demanded it be required by law so we have a type of fuel that is too rich for regular engines and too weak for premium engines. That alone would drop the price of gas by a dollar a gallon.



I agree, I watched them stand before congress and say we need to build more refineries in order to keep the price of gas below a dollar a gallon. They also stated that more nuclear power plants need to be build and brought on line. They stated for the record that their refining capability was going to make the price of gasoline go up if they were not allowed to build more refineries, and drill domestically for new sources of oil. this is all part of the congressional record back in 1978. the peoples response was a windfall profits tax on the greedy oil companies, a moratorium on nuclear power plants and environmental restrictions on the exploration and exploitation of domestic oil.

30 years later just as they predicted the price of oil is through the roof, and it will take ten years to build a new refinery if they started building today. Back then they said they needed 20 more refineries. We have built none. They suggested 30 new nuclear power plants, we have built none. Now an environmental commission published recently that we need to build 30 refineries and 47 nuclear power plants in the next ten years at the cost of almost fifty trillion dollars or the environment will suffer. 30 years ago it would hurt the environment to build such things not even they say it needs to be done. Wow are they owned by the greedy oil companies?



Really, you think they are not complete solutions? Are you sure? It is what the environmentalist has been screaming we should do for decades when the technology was not ready. Now that it is almost ready they want to rush into it. In another 50 years solar power will be ready, wind power is ready now but will only work in certain areas. Until then how about we use what we have? We are sitting on 200 years worth of oil and not even pulling it out of the ground. The Chinese are doing it off the coast of Florida for the Cubans but we can’t get the same oil.

As the sun expands the sweet spot that makes our planet habitable is moving out and the harsher heat is moving in. this is why there is a record heat wave on Mars, in summer at the equator the temp almost gets to zero. As for the Co2 levels on earth causing global warming something that is a total lie. Look at Mars. The atmosphere is almost 100% carbon dioxide and the planet is cold.



I am so sorry but I have not indulged in illegal drug use, I grew up in the 60’s. to suggest that a greenhouse and the earth are equal would have to negate the 80% nitrogen that is in the air as well as the oxygen, a greenhouse works not because of the carbon dioxide but because of the heat being trapped by the glass which allows the heat in and keeps the cold out. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. They are the reason why the atmosphere went from nitrogen, sulfur, carbon, oxygen atmosphere to a nitrogen, oxygen atmosphere. So the natural state of the planet is more sulfur and carbon and less oxygen. The plant life is what has changed the planet making it habitable for us. As long as the plants are breathing it in they will continue to grow. They filter the air. What keeps us from burning up from the heat of the sun is our rotational speed of a little over a thousand miles an hour. This is slowly changing, we are speeding up a little bit each year. Look at Jupiter, it rotates once every ten and a half hours or so. Big storms there. That is our future if the planet is not burned to a cinder first.

They can’t. by the way part of our refining space is taken up by the oil from Iran because they don’t have the refining capability because they have not build a refinery since they kicked us out 30 years ago. On your solar powered boat? I was discussing the problems of solar energy a few weeks ago and it seems the computer industry is the only hold back for cheaper power cells. He would sort of know cause he sort of owns a plant that makes them. The good silicon needed for the power cells are the same used to make computer chips because they compete for the same product the price keeps going up. It won’t be ready for 50 years or so. My friend is hopeful and thinks it will be ready in ten years. I am doubtful. He says the solar panels that used to take up a square meter can now be shrunk to a square foot and produce the same amount of power. Each year they are getting better and better. Smoke getting in your eyes?



That’s a good idea maybe we should try that. But instead of Iraq where they have only a few hundred wells we should go after Saudi Arabia. Who can stop us if that is what we want to do. Your argument here is weak. It has been argued back and forth for years and it has been disproven that is what we had intended to do. The Saudi and Kuwaiti governments ran from Saddam so it would be easy to invade there if that was what we wanted to do. Who would stop us once we had the land under our feet? For that matter why are we helping the Iraqis? We destroyed their army in less than two weeks. We had nothing and no one to stop us from making Iraq a territory of the United States.
