hey seth, just thought i'd drop a line in here for you in case you haven't seen my post on the ToE site, but i finally started putting some real work into the ToE ship designs for your mod. i've got 4 solid designs done so far, and i think i'll be able to finish another 1 or 2 today (i'm starting with the larger designs, so they're taking longer).

additionally, i've offered the ToE members to opportunity to name the ships, but since you're making the mod i think you should get first pick. there are pics posted over on the ToE site.

No it's not a bad thing since i never finished the game last time i played it. Got into space and didnt really do much from there.

I'm not getting that until EA gets its head out of its ass and removes the install limit on SecuROM. Maybe I'll pirate it. The games been illigally downloaded near 2,000,000 times! Serves them right, lol.

The most basic version of SecuROM is mostly harmless, like on Fallout 3. If I recall, all it does is a disk check.

@Neilo, me too. I like the creatures because my daughter would tell me who to attack and ally  " Taaaa Daaaa"    After starting using vehicles I lost interest then into space that's where I stoping playing all together.

Well count me as one of those 2 million and one of those who bought the game.

To get around the securom you install your bought copy as normal and then use the cracked.exe that will be with the pirate copy on your legit install.

Just copy the cracked exe over the default exe and it works fine.

Not sure how legal that is but since i bought the game i'll install it as many times as i please.

Neilo, could you PM all the exact instructions on how to do that? Thanks. Spore looks cool, but I dont want to put up with EA's shit.

I also recommend Empire: Total War to those looking for a 4x strategy game.  It has turn-based global strategy, and real-time land and naval battles.  Although I think Rome: Total War remains my overall favorite of the series.  I just love that time period.

I downloaded the demo yesterday I think it was.  Went to launch it and Steam threw itself into an infinite loop.  I'll get that sorted and see how I like it.

I saw the previews for it and IMO it looks stupid.

Hmm i'll take a look, but is it intergrated with steam is it? That might be enough to keep me away.
